Help me find that... / Re: Want to find this song again

This is not the mod or song you're looking for, but the melody in the start of your wav file reminded me exactly of Anugama - Magic Flow (from Shamanic Dream II). Check it out, you might like it: https://youtu.be/MW2QZaTNVqA?t=25s  (I've set a start time of 25s in the video to take you to the bit .. it actually repeats throughout the track, very nice!)

Help me find that... / Re: "Heart - What About Love" intro

I don't know any mod that sounds like it, but the song "Listen to your Heart" by Roxette (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCC_b5WHLX0), or even DHT (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4HJ0zfZ-EM), reminds me of the song you linked to.

Help me find that... / Re: Coverdisk MODs?

The only mod (well, MED in this case) I had from that pair of coverdisks was Amiganuts. The Risky Woods and Zool mods can be found on UnExotica now too. Were there other editions of the disks maybe?

That sounds like a pretty cool tune actually, would be interested in getting it myself too. Some instantly recognisable samples in there. Sounds like the artist was inspired by Captain (Beyond Music), Jester of Sanity (Stardust Memories), and even Jol005x (Nephew, http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=104166 . Found under Joloosx on Modland).

That style though.. I haven't been listening to mods enough, normally I'd be able to instantly recognise that style and know a similar tune. That sort of happy melody with the key change.. it's a signature of one of the artists of the day. can't think who though :(

Help me find that... / Re: Future.mod <= 1996 .. ???

I knew I had a thread somewhere about Future.mod .... the answer is:

crapzwtitle.mod - the Zone Warrior title tune by Barry Leitch.

I found it at the start of a brute-force method of finding mods.. downloading 10Gb of ProTracker mods from Modland and listening to them all, lol ... thankfully for me though, out of the ~32000 (~6Gb) of mods I got, and of the 9000 that got "shortlisted" (150-280kb size), it was about #150 that I happened to hear. It was in the -unknown folder, but also in Barry Leitch's folder.

Yay. :)

Where did you get the recording from? Might help in finding the actual mod (if it is a mod). Sounds a bit Hollywood-like (as in, the mod/chiptune creator hollywood :))..

Help me find that... / Re: Mod with sample of "I Kill People!"
« on: August 06, 2013, 04:07:41 »
I can't remember much else about the song, right now, other than the fact that it started off with a sample of a man saying those words, in an exaggerated Southern accent.  Other than that, I only recall that it was a cool song.

Hey, cut me some slack, it's been YEARS since I heard it, and I'm getting old.   ;D   I was able to find the Popcorn and RainyNight mods that I used to love, so I'm 2 outta 3.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hey Robbie, is it this one: Die again? :)

Pretty sure it will be. It's cool to find old mods. Just recently I managed to find one I thought was called Future, but in reality was called crapzwtitle (Zone Warrior Title by Barry Leitch). I found that by downloading 6Gb of Protracker mods from Modland, then listening to them in sequence. Luckily out of about 32000 mods, culled to 9000 by selecting only mods betweek 150 and 280k (I roughly recalled its size), it happened to be #150 in the unknown folder.. yay!  17 years later, found it ;)

I don't recall any vocal samples in it, no.. The Future Hurts, is that an S3M? (the only mod on ModLand with that title is an S3M).

This module I'm looking for was definitely 4 channel, and I'm pretty sure it was Protracker (or OctaMED, but unlikely).

It'll be a miracle if I find it :D  Thanks for the input :)
