Help me find that... / Amiga "I feel it" tune
« on: April 23, 2012, 22:23:07 »
So, some time in the early 90s my dad was mucking about on the Amiga and he loaded up a tracker or something on the Amiga which from what I remember came bundled with a tune on the cover disk. I've gone through the hundreds of magazine cover disks I have trying to find it but so far no luck. It comes into my head from time to time even though I've not heard it since then. It starts with a woman going "I feel it" four times... I feel it ... I feel it ... I feel it ... I feel it, then a sort of boingy synth sound starts, doing-doing doing doing doing, doing-doing doing doing-doing-doing. Then a sort of dum-di-di-dum bass line starts up, and it gets hazy after that.

Pfft.

*shrug*

Any ideas?

Some great suggestions there, including some all too familiar tunes! As much as I like Condom Corruption it's a bit too jarring as is Smack. immortal.mod is a bit too slow to get going but other than that they're along the lines of what I'm looking for. Smooth and trancey are the best (to a degree). I'll check out more of the tracks by artists you've linked to.

Thanks!

Thanks Saga, I'll check it out in a bit. Yeah I'm unsure how long the video will be, at least an hour I imagine as any more compressed (as in time) and it'll be too fast to make much out I think. I'll see...

So, I'm driving to Revision next week and the entire journey will be filmed and then sped up many times and some music dumped on it too. If possible I'd like all the music to be modules (of any format) and scene music in general. I guess I'm looking for things that are fairly upbeat, dance/trance and the likes. Not too many chip tunes and nothing too chilled out either.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, hopefully I'll be able to cobble together enough good stuff!

Ta!

Still looking...

Sorry for dragging this old thread back to life again! I've got a bit further with this.... Was in a mates car today, he had a copy of Ministry of Sound "Back to the Oldskool" CD in his car.

One track is by... Clivillés & Cole. That's the name I have been looking for! There is a mod on the site matching this, and it's here: http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=126904

However, this isn't the track I'm looking for. I am positive that it's been made by the same person as I distinctly remember it saying "on columbia records" as it does in that one. Could be wrong, though.

Anyway this has brought me much closer to finding it. Is anyone familiar with Clivillés & Cole (aka C+C Music Factory) stuff that can identify the track name?

Edit: Currently got wget sucking down the whole of http://mod.zayda.net/mods/u4ia/ so I'll queue the lot up in modplug and go through them all and report back...

Edit #2: Nope, isn't in there :(. I'm amazed how many of the mods I had from that lot though!

Edit #3: Been trawling the web, and of course youtube came into it. Found this which at least must be where the sample in the mod was got from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilq12oYAYV8. I'm no further forward though. I've gone through the whole of http://mod.zayda.net/mods/ and http://www.wmo.dds.nl/mods/ which contained a lot of u4ia stuff with no luck.

Thanks :)

Believe me, it's not there! I've had m0d manually trawl through them before. I first brought this up years ago on the old MA site, then last year in the channel, and here I go again!

** Updated in new post below **

As some of you in the channel may know, I've been searching for this mod for years. I used to have a copy of it about 7 years ago. It's not a special mod, it's just one of those "damn that's really annoying me" things...

Anyway, I remember the title was called Civ***** & Col*****... that's about it. I also remember in the comments it said it was a cover of some (iirc) 80s song. I recorded it to MD back then and helpfully just called the track CIV_COL, but I know that probably wasn't the filename.

You can download a recording from the MD here (ogg, 4.2MB).

Maybe, just maybe, I'll have more luck this time round!

I originally found it all those years ago by just searching for random mod downloads websites in Altavista.

Thanks! :)
