Help me find that... / Re: Hiroads soundtrack

847_loop10.mp3 sounds familiar but I couldn't find it. Maybe it's by Rez or Random Voice?

Oh that's unfortunate. :-/
But as long as I can read the manual, I'm happy. :)

Instead of the website, there is the registrar's page.

In can only see two of these reasons.

The first one would be copyright issues, but as far as I know, Red and you are the only owners of the copyright on TMA's source code, so if both of you agree to release the code there isn't much of a problem.

The second would be that there are securities issue, so you'd rather do security by obscurity, which is fine on the short-term. If this is the case you could release non-critical parts of the site, and then possibly gradually release more stuff.

As for doing this for the future rewrite, that would also be great! But except if there are indeed security issues, it sounds like unnecessary tons of work.

Are there plans to open source The Mod Archive?
The Mod Archive is something great and precious (and its data, even more). I think letting the community participate in its maintenance would serve it.
Besides, it would take some weight off of Saga's shoulders.

And I would be willing to give some of my free time to help improve it! ;-)

Farewell and thanks! You've left your mark on the demoscene.
I wish you all the best and to do whatever you need to do with your life! <3

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: duplicate modules

I refer to it as sample panning because it's a per-sample setting in XM.
Oh right, I was confused about this because in MilkyTracker (and from the screenshots I've seen FastTracker 2) you change the per-sample setting in the instrument panel, the sample you set this to is the one which is selected.

People did not "do this" (intentionally). It is simply not technically possible to do otherwise in the Amiga MOD format...
Oh alright, thanks for the info.

...and on the other hand, the XM format does not have channel panning but only sample panning, hence everything is just panned to center by default unless you set a different default sample panning for each sample.
Do you mean sample panning or instrument panning?

If you mean MOD file rather than XM, you probably can't as long as Milky plays it in Amiga ProTracker mode.
Oh yeah sorry, that happens for MOD files only indeed. I was able to find the option and listening to them is much more enjoyable now!
