MilkyTracker Support / Some more MilkyTracker n00b-questions...
« on: March 22, 2009, 15:02:31 »
Hi

I've started using MilkyTracker regularly on my Windows Mobile phone, but I have some questions:

1. I normally produce sample-based hip-hop, so a wave-editor is pretty essential to me. Does anyone know of a such (free) one for Windows Mobile?? Or does anyone have other tips that would make my beat-making process easier in MilkyTracker? I'm a tracker n00b...

2. How do I use effects in MilkyTracker? I'm specifically talking about EQ, compression, and reverb. Please explain it very "logically" as I'm new to trackers...

3. I found a three- and ten-band EQ in the Advanced menu in the Sample Editor, but each time I EQ a sample (no. 1), and I then go into the EQ menu for ANOTHER sample (no. 2), it shows the same setting (that I just set for no. 1). Does that mean that when I use that EQ function it does it on ALL samples?? Or shouldn't I worry about this...???

Hope y'all understand my English :-)

Hi

Quick question: When I insert a note of an instrument in MilkyTracker (on my Windows mobile phone) it just keeps playing until the next note 'overwrites' it. How do I stop a note that is playing???

I believe it has something to do with inserting 'small boxes' in the pattern right after the notes (at least that's my theory from watching demo-songs playing), but how do I insert those boxes?

Thanx in advance :-)

Yo!

I've recently discovered MilkyTracker for my HTC Windows-mobile, and I think it's an amazing app. The only problem is, I have very little experience with trackers!

My problem is: When I've added three drum samples to the sample editor (hi-hat, kick, snare), and closed it, and I've begun to add the hi-hats to the pattern, I can't figure out how to change the current sample!

To put it in other words, I can't figure out how to put other samples than the first one into the patterns. So if the hi-hat is the first .wav-file I inserted in the sample editor, that's the one I'm inserting in the pattern. How do I change to the second or third sample??

Hope I explained myself well enough... I'm not too good at english! :-)
