I'm reading jivatma's MilkyTracker tutorial, and a sentence reads:

Please enter on the top position of Channel 3 and 6 a '<>|' (the key near 'y')

I can't figure out what this is.

The Lobby / Hello everyone.

Hello.  I've come here to learn how to make modules, as well as listen to them.

In the probably distant future, I'm going to start working on a mod for Doom 2, in an advanced engine.  The engine (ZDoom) supports modules, and from what I've heard, I think the kind of music made with modules fits in with the project much more than the usual midi.  I may use modules from this site (of course with the necessary permissions ).

Next, though I have no musical background and will probably give up, I'd like to try making modules.  Are there any tutorials on this site?
