Look what I made! / First Compositions on Milky :)

Well, I just finished reading the ever so helpful manual and finally have learned a thing or two about drawing waves and the differences in the different wave types, i.e. Sine vs Triangle vs Square.....Still getting it all down but I've finally made my first compositions, very short, meant to be looped but exported as MP3s  :P

They can be heard be heard on the links below:

The Lobby / Howdy!

Howdy all,

my name's Ashley and I've been listening to chiptunes for quite some time, primarily folks found on 8bitpeoples.com and have been wanting to get into making them myself.  For a bit my undergrad major was music and I've got a pretty comprehensive background in music theory and such, however I've never dabbled outside of playing an actual instrument and composing on paper. This is completely new!

I've figured out a lot of the basics from the helpful newbie guide posted on the site some time ago and have since found the following tutorials pretty useful:

While I have poured over each effects line, comparing them with the user manual, I have still found it hard to strike out and create certain tones on my own. One thing that's been alluding me is figuring out how to make nice bass tones that aren't too harsh. Any suggestions?
