Wanted: Music for Projects / Music needed for Sifteo cubes!
« on: February 07, 2013, 20:06:56 »
Hi, I'm looking for some musicians who are interested in creating music for a very unique platform.  Sifteo is new mobile game system composed of 3 or more cubes with full color screens that have motion sensors and can interact with each other.  It's a really cool flexible platform and easy to work with.  They are still kind of under the radar right now because it just launched but with the right library of games I could see it becoming a very popular toy. Here's a video that gives an intro about what they are...

While there is enormous potential for fun the hardware itself is somewhat limited and that's where you come in.  For music it currently only supports xm format with a maximum of 8 channels of 16khz audio.  In practice at least 2 of those channels will be needed for in game sound effects.  There is a write up on their tech blog that will give you a bit more background about the music system...

Please contact me directly if you are interested.  Even if you don't contact me you should look into this Sifteo thing because it seems like a great way to breath new life into the mod scene.  I would love to see a demo that ran on Sifteo cubes!
