Hello, I'm trying to get around the 'single note on single instrument' limitation for recording from a midi controller on Milkytracker. I'm trying to achieve two things:
I've discovered the 'Jam channels' option, that lets me play multiple notes on the same channel, but it seems to be unfit for recording.
There seems to be a 'mark channel' option for selecting multiple channels, but I am able to only select one channel with it -- the marking resets to the single last marked channel. Also, I'm not sure how to assign different instruments to different channels before starting to record.
Any tips on what should I do next?
- Record to multiple instruments at the same time, to create a 'layer' effect.
- Split the keyboard between multiple instruments, to play, for example lead with right hand and bass with left hand.
