NitroTracker Feature Requests / Re: One sample per key
« on: April 11, 2009, 15:08:45 »
Andars, that totally hadn't occurred to me - and I had no real use for multi-mapping samples before. This is fantastic!... Now if only I could turn off Chinatown Wars long enough to do some music...

Ok - sounds good. What is an .xi instrument? Is it just a format for saving sample banks cos this happens in an .xm anyway doesn't it? Sorry, I don't know a lot about the ins and outs of tracking!

NitroTracker Feature Requests / One sample per key
« on: April 03, 2009, 14:19:09 »
Not sure if this has been raised already, but it occurred to me that I would love to have a feature whereby you could lay your samples out across the keyboard, one sample to one key. This way you could quickly play in drum patterns in step-record mode without having to move over to the sample panel to select the different sounds. I know this would get me making some freaky business a lot quicker that is possible at the moment.

NitroTracker Bug Reports / Re: No save/load of songs on DSX
« on: November 22, 2008, 15:19:50 »
Well, I solved my problem by buying an Edge. What a relief, Nitrotracker works perfectly so far - it's so great to be able to finally use this program properly. There's the added bonuses that I now have 4Gb of space for samples and the card doesn't take longer to load the more samples are on it. My DSX could take up to 3 minutes to load with enough samples on it - I guess something to do with having the hardware and the memory in the same device...?

thanks for the advice... unfortunately I've tried everything I can think of to no joy... installed the new firmware for DSX, tried using a non-patched copy of nitrotracker, tried saving xm files to all different locations; as soon as I hit the 'song' button on the save option nitrotracker just freezes. occasionally i can get it to say 'please wait' but then nothing more.

tbh, i'm quite tempted to buy a card that does work Ok as I've always had problems with saving/loading songs on my DSX... if anyone has any recommendations for the perfect nitrotracker friendly slot 1 card I'd be all ears...

NitroTracker Bug Reports / No save/load of songs on DSX

hi there...

i'm using a ds-x (4 gb version) and can't load or save songs. nitrotracker just freezes on the 'please wait' message. this did happen before (on 1.3?) i seem to remember hassling you about it a few years ago!

i patched NT using DLSIrc

oh and i really love the ram usage indicator, this was always something that made me feel a bit uneasy before - never knowing when you were going to max out.

they're quite different beasts though aren't they? I am loving DS 10 for it's hands on synthesis and instant wonky fun ...but nitrotracker, especially with these new features, is becoming a serious compositional tool with increasing 'hands on' fun elements.
