This is great, Saga, thanks a lot for helping.

Once the paper is done, I will post a link to it on the forums in case anybody is interested.

Thank you both for your replies and willingness to help.

Concerning the shout out for "veteran" artists, I didn't initially mention anybody by name, because I didn't want to leave any other great artists out. :) But any help to find artists such as Romeo Knight, 4-Mat, Bit Arts, Walkman, Jesper Kyd, Uncle Tom, FireFox, Chris Hülsbeck, Ron Klaren, Walkman... would be very much appreciated.
The list is definitely not complete, so I'm open to suggestions. :)
I know many of them moved on and are not even connected with music anymore, but any help is appreciated.

The Lobby / Help with academic paper on mod community

Hello to all,

Since this is my first post, just a short side note to say I have been a listener of mod music since the early 90's, but this is my first reach out to the community in these many years.:)

I am currently writing a paper for a talk on the mod music scene and how it developed historically since the 80's and preceded (and set the case for) the "free culture" debate, the "remix" culture and remote musical collaboration.

For this purpose, I am trying to track down some of early mod composers and artists and chatting with them on their impressions on how the mod community contributed to these points and evolved over the years.

So, any help that any of the "veterans" would be willing to share or any pointers on this direction would be much appreciated. :) FYI: there's no money involved, neither for me nor anybody else, as this research is for academical purposes. ;)

Thanks a lot in advance for your help   :D
