Thanks, I will check these out!

I had seen openmpt123 but no Mac was build available. Luckily it was easy to build it from sources.

Works great, thanks!

Macintosh / OpenMPT player on Mac

Are there any good OpenMPT (.mptm) players for Mac?

I was able to compile ffplay ( with libopenmpt support, and this seems to work OK.
I wish there was a player (or plugin for a player) having playlist support, however.

I'll let you use my music as long as you credit me for it.

Thanks Nikku, I see you are prolific... I have decided to keep my growing playlist to myself for now. Cheers!

Thanks Saga... contacting all those artists would be difficult so maybe I'll just keep the playlist to myself. With the genres of songs involved, it would be a niche interest anyhow. Many of the additions are from the 'Electronic - Ambient' genre on this site.

Good to know about those 2 stations, btw... thanks!

With all the time at home during the pandemic, I've really enjoyed using this site and discovering new tunes to add to my collection  :)

I had the idea of starting a radio station (internet based of course) and streaming some mods I have curated in a playlist for background music while working. I know there is some precedent already for this with sites like -- would it be OK legally as long as the modules do not contain a notice from the composer like "nothing except personal use allowed"?

Also, please share any links to stations playing mods that you may know of, thanks!

API Support / Request for API key
« on: May 03, 2020, 18:05:01 »
- Application type
 Random player

- Platform(s)
 Raspberry Pi

- Predicted demand, an estimation of how many requests a month you will make.
 5 - 10 per day, so maybe 300 in a month max.

- Commercial interest, is this a for-sale app?

- All applications need to be tied to a working email address, make sure your forum profile email address is correct, you can also provide an alternative privately after the application has been reviewed.

I rediscovered this archive after years have gone by, and am interested in creating a hobbyist program on the RPi. It would simply download a random mod from the archive & play it. I imagine making a few requests per day - perhaps a bit more during creation & initial enjoyment. So this should only require "level 3" access, reviewing the API help docs. Thanks for your consideration, I hope to discover & enjoy much more music than I could in my BBS days!  ;D
