well, for me it started with radiohead posting cave story on their blog, which somehow led me to indy gaming, which led me to nifflas, which led me here
so i suppose the first one ever... was probably vast silence by dfast

so, i think im going to have a laptop soon, running off fedora 7 linux
and i want some tracking software... so far with my pc im using modplug, so i want something kind of like it
but i also want it to have some midi capability... and on that subject, id guess that anyone who knows of linux tracking software might also know of linux midi interfaces
so, does anyone know of anything that at least vaguely fits either of those descriptions? thanks

Tracking / Re: .MP3 to .MOD converter?
« on: August 30, 2007, 23:37:46 »
jeez, especially a wav file, the whole thing would end up as like 50 mb
id be willing to help you write out some mod tunes from listening to mp3, since im bored and thats basically all im good for anyways
i think i have fairly good tracking skills and a good ear so if you tell me where to get the mp3s id be willing to try writing one out

yeah, the time thing? its pretty easy to write a beat even if your snare and bass are in unconventional places
just for fun and to be stupid, i mad a beat with the bass on 0, the snare on 5, and the high hat on 7
it definetly doesnt sound wrong
you need to listen to more prog rock or free jazz or something...
lots of music doesnt even have a set time... theres nothing saying people cant try to recreate that with mods

The Lobby / addicted to piston collage
« on: August 09, 2007, 01:51:24 »
im addicted to piston collage, wich can only output .wav, .ptcop, and .pttune
does anyone know of any way to convert the files?
or maybe with a plugin for modplayer convince the modarchive to let me upload those files?
if i dont figure something out, im going to have to put my stuff in wav as a sample in another module format
