I'm going to be building my own tracker for generating CSound scores, and so I need a simple-yet-effective way to build a GUI. Milkytracker is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing trackers I've had the pleasure of using, and so I thought it would be a good idea to ask here first.

MilkyTracker Community / Filter Algorithms
« on: September 22, 2008, 05:04:34 »
Milkytracker has a nice set of filters, and I know there are people around here who know a thing or two about audio processing, so I was wondering if any of you know where I can find decent resources on writing filtering algorithms. I have a decent background in digital signal processing, and I've been using Max/MSP for a few years now, but I still don't know much about the inner workings of FIR filters and Fourier transforms.

So I was wondering, what would any of you suggest for learning more about this sort of thing? I'd like to begin work on some cross-platform synthesis/audio editing tools, but until I have a firm grasp on how this stuff works, I can't really do much.

The Lobby / Hello All
« on: September 14, 2008, 08:50:43 »
Hello everybody. Long time Renoise user here. I decided I wanted to do some 'classic' tracking and started messing around with Milkytracker. I really like the community over here; everyone seems very helpful and generally good natured.

I'm also a programmer. I should be releasing some handy DS apps within the next few months, so if you're a Nitrotracker user, you should (hopefully) be seeing more of me soon. :]
