If you are going to add a mic, you may run into a line bias. This will create a hiss over your recording.

A normal mic, that's XLR, is different input levles then a line levle input, like a headphone (1/8th) jack. It's simply a decrese in bandwidth. To compinsate for then, they amplify the signal inside the hardware, and this is where you get a hiss from. Somethines it's not bad: it can range from a hiss from a audio tape, to almost static.

I do LOVE the idea though. Is the mic on the headset any good?

NitroTracker Support / sample rates
« on: December 29, 2008, 00:36:11 »
Does nitro take a limited range of sample rates for .wav's?

I posted in the bugs forum about this, but some of my samples turn into a wierd gargle or hiss. I've reloaded the samples, tried them in different places on the sd card, but they still come out like static. Thus, I assume it's a sample rate problem.

eitherway, is there an ideal sample rate for nitrotracker's samples?

compleatly agree. to be able to zoom in on a drumbreak would make slicing very nice.

I agree LuZeke, and it would be a very nice use of the touch screen as well.

NitroTracker Feature Requests / pitch and speed
« on: December 29, 2008, 00:16:00 »
Somehow, these two need their own place.

Having to sacrafice pitch for tempo is alright when I comes to a simple wave form, but for drums it can be annoying.

This is really nit-picky, but I feel it's important to have (atleast with the addition of a ram pack).

NitroTracker Feature Requests / expanded ram enabled features

I JUST REALIZED THAT LuZeke POSTED THIS IDEA ALREADY IN ANOTHER THREAD. (He made a very good picture of it anyway).

You know how in alot of music programs they have a series of bars, under the sequencer, that can be drawn into a shape to controle volume, cut, res, and other effects? Well, I think it would be amazing to have some of these automation features, and have them be drawn verticaly on each track, You could have a small selector under the mute and solo tabs, and switch between each effect. You could draw a resolution, then select the pan effect and draw that in on top.

I would susspect this would require something like a 3-in-1 EZ flash V ram pack or some-such.

Is this idea too far fetched?  ??? ??? ???

NitroTracker Feature Requests / Re: triplet notes
« on: December 28, 2008, 23:59:56 »
I know that in LSDJ (with a little math) you can set a groove to make triplets with the correct spacing. so maybe groove?

I just think it would be nice to be ablt to select a group of units and convert them to different sub-divided notes. I've never seen a tracker that does this, but it would be kicking-rad.
