MilkyTracker Support / Sound driver initialization problem
« on: January 09, 2011, 18:10:40 »
Hi folks,

I always used Milkytracker on my macbook and now I installed an M-audio Fast Track Pro sound interface. And now MT is warning me about: "Sound driver initialization failed. Try different settings or drivers". I went to the config screen and tried to changed the audio driver, but it's still not working. Any idea?

thanks!

MilkyTracker Support / Samples sound different on FT2 and Milkytracker
« on: December 01, 2010, 02:53:44 »
Hi folks,

I use FT2 on an old PC, but sometimes I wanna make some tune on my macintosh when the PC isn´t avaliable. So, I installed Milkytracker on the mac. But I realized that the .xm songs I make on Milky sounds different on FT2. Looks like the samples get a little detuned and the bpm is a bit slower... I think it must be some frequency problem but I really don´t know what it is. Thanks for your time and your help!

NitroTracker Feature Requests / LSDJ live mode-like, anyone?
« on: August 01, 2009, 17:29:30 »
a couple of weeks ago I performed my very first live set and I used a dmg with LSDJ and a DS with nitrotracker. the only way I found using nitrotracker for performing live was "locking" the pattern loops, then jamming on it using the piano roll, and then "unlocking" the pattern loop and releasing the next one, repeating it all over again.

and then, I wonder if it wouldn't be nice on the next version, some live mode, like playing one pattern, then selecting another one and this last pattern would begin just after the first one ended. Just like lsdj, ableton live, etc.

what do you guys think?

and sorry for my bad english :(

well, I found this post (http://modarchive.org/forums/index.php?topic=1507.0) and figured it out. I had changed one folder´s name, so it wasn´t working!

actually, I kept the folder name and just erased the .conf file on /data. When I restarted nitrotracker, it created a new .conf file and everything was beautiful again.

thanks a lot for Distortion for helping me out!

hi folks, first time here.
i´ve been a user of LSDJ for some time, and a couple of weeks ago I got myself a DS and started using nitrotracker. Everything was going fine, but today I took my afternoon to download some samples from freesound project. I used to have about 5mb of samples on my nitrotracker folder, but now I have 16 mb. The problem is: when I start nitrotracker, I can´t find my sample folders. Actually, the samples browser doesn´t show anything. But when I click on it with the stylues, the folders appear but nitrotracker freezes and I have to reset the DS.

Does anybody know what should be happening? Is it because 16mb is too much of samples for nitrotracker to handle?

thanks in advance and sorry about any english errors...
