Help Support Topics Archive / Re: XPK-compressed .mod files

Actually the unpacked gonna-cry.mod is now just a dupe of existing gonnacry.mod: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=44020

And the unpacked synthmat.mod is a dupe of existing synthomatik.mod: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=119368

you can merge these.

There are also a few tunes still compressed with Power Packer - I do know Protracker can open those if you have the library available, but would it make sense to replace these with unpacked versions on the site?  For modern players etc?

Here is a list of Power Packer files and I am attaching a .zip of uncompressed versions.

This .mod file is also broken (has extra junk data at the beginning):

However, it should just be deleted, because there's already a fixed version on the site:

Help Support Topics Archive / XPK-compressed .mod files

There are four .mod files in the ModArchive database that are compressed in XPK format and do not play or parse correctly.  These are:

I have unpacked these four into their original uncompressed format and attached them in a .zip file here.  Three of these (alien_nation, gonna-cry, maniac_beat) are 4-channel ProTracker format.  The last one (defekt40) is Player 4.1a and needs ProWizard or similar to convert it.

I suggest these versions should replace the existing files in the db.

Downloaded the torrent and did some parsing, and I've found some broken .mod files on the site:

The Lobby / Found some old .ult files...

by a Canadian artist named "Killer Fish".  They're in UltraTracker (.ult) format.  I don't know if Modarchive accepts these or not, but I'll go ahead and attach a .zip with what I found, and hopefully a moderator can either 1) post them to Modarchive, or 2) point me to an alternate archive site that could host them for posterity.
