Look what I made! / Re: The Quest For Wi-Fi

This is a pretty good song! I like it.

It's got pretty good rhythm, and a good amount of variation in melody and pace in certain patterns to make it sound fresh and not repetitive.

I dig it! :) Makes me want to make another chip tune song... :P

Look what I made! / Living In The Retro
« on: January 02, 2018, 19:52:32 »
Yo guys! Been awhile, but I got a new piece out, and I'd like some feedback on it.

It's a short loop-able piece that utilizes 80's sounding synths as well as a drum machine (the TR-808 to be exact)

You can listen to it on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/zombieskeletonknifefight/living-in-the-retro

Or you can download the actual module on modarchive: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=181396

Please don't hesitate to be brutally honest guys, I want to REALLY know what you guys think.

Cheers.  :)

Look what I made! / Fyre&Eyce-Break The Limit (CPS2 Original)
« on: October 19, 2017, 23:28:41 »
Decided to do a Video game inspired piece, using samples from the legendary Capcom Play System II arcade board, and the respective games they came from (Super Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha, Armored Warriors, Etc.)

Overall I liked how it came out, but wanna know what you guys think, and if you have any ideas on what to improve on, let us know.

Hello folks, Fyre & Eyce here, with our first song of 2017, I hope your new years went well.

This song we decided to fool around with OMPT's WavetableSynthesis drawing feature to make samples/instruments to put together a song and this was the result.

Very short song in total, so we made it a loopable song.

Please give us some feedback if you find something wrong with the song or just something about it we can improve upon.

Thanks.  :)

Tracking / What are some good Tracking Practices I should do to improve?
« on: September 14, 2016, 04:21:55 »
To flesh this out a bit more, I mean what kind of practice can I do, say musical practices, or whatever can I do to improve my tracking ability, mainly I'm curious just because I'm still relatively new to the scene and am looking to improve, and I was wondering if some of you can impart some wisdom on what to do as far as tracking practice (s).

Anyways, thanks in advance.  ;D

Can libmodplug play it correctly? That is what I am currently using to play it (I did not even need to save a copy in order to do this). I think it is a good music.

Can't say that I've used that player ever, but I'd trust Saga on that call, if it hasn't been maintained for so long, it probably won't play it correctly, but I do know XMplay, ImpulseTracker, SchismTracker, and OpenMPT plays it just fine. :)

Finally finished our third song! Yay!  :D

This is probably my most complex track I've done, granted I'm still new to music creation, especially to the module format. That being said, I'm happy with how it came out, but I'd like to here what you guys have to say about it, so please give a listen to the module, and judge for yourself, and let us know how it turned out!

Thanks a bunch in advance. :)
