Look what I made! / Saga Musix - Psy Rain
« on: October 07, 2007, 21:08:56 »
Okay, here's my latest tune, Psy Rain. It's my very first attempt at Psy Trance, imo it went out quite well :) What's your opinion?

The MOD version may only be played in OpenMPT due to excessive usage of VST plugins :) It sounds pretty ok without them, though. You can always get the MP3 version which doesn't have this limitation ofc :D

The Lobby / Ever burnt your favourite mods on CDs?
« on: September 22, 2007, 22:45:47 »
So, have you even made CD collections of your beloved modules?
I have, even three times, burnt CDs with my favourite mods. However, i consider many of them as crap nowadays, but that was back in 2004 and 2005, when i was just collecting random modules...
How about you?

edit: weee, post #400 ^^

Software Showcase / XMPlay users...
« on: August 17, 2007, 22:21:47 »
...have you ever wanted systray icons to control XMPlay playback like in Winamp? i switched from Winamp to XMPLAY and i didn't find any method to do this.
Therefore, i programmed a little utility (NOT a plugin...), if you want to have a look at it, check https://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=7463.0 ... :)

btw, this is how it will look like (The systray, not XMPlay)! note that you may create as many icons as you want...

So you lost this module on your hard disk, huh? and you know it was by necros, 500-600 kb in size and approximately 3 minutes long? damnit, you won't it anymore, right? stop, help arrived!

Mod Library for Windows is maybe the tool you need. you can add files to its super-fast database manually or you can scan whole directories (including sub-directories) and drives for modules! This programm supports IT, MO3, MOD, MTM, S3M, UMX and XM files. It can even play them with the built-in player that uses bass.dll! So your whole drive content (only the modules, that is) is in the database, and now? you can perform a flexible search usign a search term that can be performed on file name, title, sample / instrument texts, commants and Personal Notes. you can also search for particular file sizes, file dates and song lengths! great, isn't it?

This small tool has got even more features, you can f.e. do a HTML export of your database, you can maintain it by removing modules that no longer exist on your drives. there are still some more features, but they're so much, i can't list them all here.
And the best thing: This program is of course freeware! And even better: It's multilingual! Currently, there are only English and German translations, but you can translate to your native language if you want to and send the translated INI files to me!

Download Mod Library!

Look what I made! / Saga Musix - Digital Loop
« on: May 01, 2007, 20:28:27 »
Here's my latest track, I appreciate any feedback :)
Download
For listening purpose, I recommend the mp3 version. If you want to listen to the IT version, please follow these rules:
1) Use OpenMPT - get the latest version
2) Get the VST Plugins

have fun ;)

Digital Loop is my first track written in OpenMPT. I recommend that you download the mp3 version if you don't have the latest OpenMPT version :)
Get it!
Any feedback is welcome ;)

Hi, finally, there's a new module format coming with OpenModplug. it's called MPTM (that's also the extension) and will be supported in OpenMPT 1.17.03.00 (it's still alpha).
So my question is, can you support the MPTM format in the near future? afaik it's still an IT-style format (maybe even the same, but with a few changes like the new tuning of the insturments)...

Another request:
VST plugins get popular these days, and even I use them now :) I know that it is too hard, maybe even impossible to upload them all at one place, but wouldn't it be a cool idea to SCAN the uploaded modules for used plugins? The needed plugins could be displayed at the song info page then and someone could also compile a list with the download sources to the freeware plugins...

edit: don't rush, the file format is not really public yet ;)
