It's good to hear you aim to release it. Out of the 10-15 or so games and programs I've given or composed music to in the past 12 years I don't think one has been released as a final version.

orbital danger - The volume on that sample can be easily fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. I will look into it once I have my tracker machine up and running again. It crashed just recently and it should be up and running within a week.

Some more tunes you may want to have a look at:
"friendly danger" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=36022
"the freezebee" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=43508
"mangled" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=49327
"correct powerlines" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=56215
"dreaming of reality" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=61591
"rolling by" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=56396
"swampy pit" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=62184
"living oddity" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=61550

You're free to use the tunes mentioned here for your game. In case you find another tune you would like to use please ask me before if its ok to use it since some tunes I would rather you do not use.

You may use them free of charge as long as the game is free of charge. If you sell the game for money then I will be expecting a share.

It would be more convenient to use email. My address is studio_cheetah@hotmail.com.

I've a few hundred tunes here at Modarchive, although there's a lot (lot) of crap in my list. Feel free to have a look at my music here, http://modarchive.org/member.php?68765

I see what kind of music you're looking for and I've done a quick scan through my archive. A few tunes that you may like:
"panic attack!" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=164893
"orbital danger" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=61564

"Planet Unknown" http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=61766

Not sure if you're looking for chiptunes specifically or if you're open to other genres as well. Anyway I included examples of both in the list. Feel free to ask for more. If you tell me which of the tunes you feel you like better I can dig up some more similar ones.

I had some music in a very cool space shooter something like a year ago. Unfortunately the programmer and creator of the game didn't finish it. (Wait, has that happened before?) It was the coolest shooter since Tyrian, though. Retro style with b/w graphics.

Will you finish your project?

Hey,

I've composed a new tune and I need your view on it! I'm looking for constructive critique and your general impression of the song (is it good or not?).

The tune's name is "So Sayeth Chaos". It's composed in FT2 and converted to MP3 for your convenience.

Thank you!

I'll give that a try =)

I couldn't make much use of the vocoders - not in the short timespan I had when making that movie. It was hard to get the kind of effect I wanted.

Good day, Sirs!

In a rare event, I've composed a new, quite good tune. I've heard the tune so many times, however, that I'm unsure if it sounds wrong or if something needs to be changed =)

I would be very happy if you want to take a look at it and see what you think!

You'll find the tune here:

Thanks for the reply! :)

I've tried looking for Zerious Vocoder but the only page that seemed to have it says it's not available any longer.

Do you know of any other vocoder?

Sampling / Voice mixing software
« on: October 23, 2007, 19:43:12 »
I need an easy-to-use software for recording and mixing voices. I want to change a human voice into something that sounds like an alien, Gollum, or the like. Is there a software that can do this?
