Part of an mp3 from a youtube video {Super Lethal Plasma Ball! (-Ultra- Overclocked)}
There are two songs in the video that sound like mods.  The first one is the one I'm interested in.  I posted the name of the other with the youtube video so that other people could find it too.

Any idea what mod this is part of???

Help me find that... / Help find 'Maker Faire' chiptune
« on: May 11, 2008, 03:55:56 »
The tune is played in the background for the youtube video:

At the end of the video, it says the music is by 'Eric Michael Beug', but I can't find this MOD/Chiptune anywhere (W/O video).

Any help?

Tracking / 8 Bit sample mod enhancer??
« on: June 16, 2006, 23:08:47 »
I want to do a tribute to mods on Stepmania.  Most of the mods I have sound good in headphones, but not so good on a regular stereo.  The 8 bit mods (most of my favorites) really suffer.
Each song will be taken to mp3 format anyway, so does anyone know of a tool that will automatically enhance the samples in 8 bit sample mods?  Most of the mods I want to use are 4 channel/voice, so I already have tools to mix the 2 right/2 left channels to some degree.  I will also add a little of ambient reverb/delay etc depending on the mod and what sounds good to my ears.
For those interested, the Stepmania songs will feature video largely from various scene demos.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Damon

Help me find that... / more information
« on: April 20, 2006, 18:05:45 »
ok.  I believe that I actually got it from the mod archive, but I can't be sure.  I know I downloaded it from the internet (not much help there).
The song itself had no drums.  The tempo was medium (not fast or slow) and I would describe it as an ambient mod.  Others may classify it differently though.
It definately was not a techno, rock, or highly rhythmic (like rap etc) song.  The file type was .xm.  I remember that b/c it was the first non *.mod mod that I ever had.  I didn't know they existed until this one.  It also must have had more than 4 voices (instrument channels) because I noticed that as well since the mods I had were all 4 channel (except for OctaMeds).

Help me find that... / Another needle in this giant haystack (.xm)
« on: April 17, 2006, 02:50:34 »
Looking for a .xm.  All I can remember is that it had a sort of a scream (human) at some point in the song where the music changed fairly significantly.  I thought I had it somewhere, but I can't find it now to save my soul...
Pretty hopeless, but maybe it will ring a bell with someone.
It was available before ~2000 (probably much earlier) b/c I remember being in a music theory course in college when I found the song.

Thanks to any help.
