The Lobby / Yo!!! Where's the Metal Scene?
« on: August 16, 2008, 08:19:42 »
yeah, so.... where's the Metal Scene At?

I see that Tawmdee is keeping it alive and am glad to hear betrayer's. There is also Pip Malt and some other artists with the metal collection.

I read that there was a metal scene and I thought I might learn how some ways to make a metal track. So far, I just come up with different ideas to be later infused and arranged.

Tracking / How to get samples or at most more instrument notes.
« on: July 22, 2008, 06:35:19 »
so.... I was composing and stuff.

I was trying to make a metal tune, but it seems I don't have the neccessary instrument sounds to produce so. I just got sick with what I have (Modplug) and decided to check within some of the tracker songs I like to listen to.

It seems that there are wav formats, and I have to say, lucky them!!! So... I guess I have to resort to getting samples instead of composing with what I have.

The only that comes to mind is how do people make/get their own samples? And if possible, how to get more instrument notes?

P.S.
I found out how to get more channels in Modplug. Just click on the General tab, click on the 'change' button, and make the selection of how many channels you want. Up to 64 :p!!!

« on: April 09, 2008, 16:57:38 »
Hi everybody!

As I know, submitting an 50 sec sample is not enough for an mod.
This is sad, I guess it's expected to make it to an song length.

Ok, enough with me moping.
I want to know how do people get their songs accepted?
It ain't that hard to make nilly willy samples, but it can't pass the Mod Squad?

hhahahah

Tracking / Re: How to destroy Tracker's Block (and other things)
« on: March 22, 2008, 19:27:25 »
try to take pause and go off to play with other tunes from your previous songs/project

you can also ignore the song overall and just focus on little notes (which have potential to be combined)

at any time can be "the song", make sure that if you get the waves, quickly get that pencil and paper to write down which possible before/after (if any, which doesn't matter at the moment) effect, instrument, style, speed (if measured), and play strength is needed.

Messing around with instruments can bring havoc of ideas too.

* I am currently an tracker noobie, though I could have just dived in about 3 years ago. I hear some songs are pretty good, but didn't consider on my own chance to swing the pick-ax. Right now, I'm having trouble of the song review cuz my noty songs isn't long enough and are really consisted of notes so yeah. I thought I could shared my thoughts for certain experienced trackers to give me some ideas to my notes, but that means disclosing my future songs to them o.o
so it sure risky

So resend the activation email for me. The Artist's Name is "Ribby". HOpefully, I don't have to get seperate emails for modarchive.

and why I can see my own email in the forums? I thought it's hiding from public.
