Hello!

For the past two weeks or so, I've been working on a fork of NitroTracker, bringing some crucial improvements and updates, as well as combining patches from existing forks by @fincs and @reinvdwoerd.

Today, I'd like to publish the first release: NitroTracker-unofficial 0.4.1-beta, with its key higlights being full DSi/3DS support (in DSi mode), an added undo/redo buffer, many minor workflow improvements, and an UI performance boost.

I hope that those (few) of you who still use NitroTracker, or perhaps want to try it out for the first time, will find the update beneficial.

Equinoxe part 3 (not 2, even if that's what 3 of these 4 versions say), original by Jean Michel Jarre, cover version by Allister Brimble. The only difference seems to be the sample text and titles.

Maybe you can find it one of the many different Mod4Win version floating around?
https://files.scene.org/search/?q=m4w
You will probably need to run the installer to be able to extract the files, in which case I would recommand to set up a 32-bit Windows virtual machine - I wouldn't recommend running it on a real 32-bit system even if you have one, since it will set up file associations without asking.
Alternatively, you can maybe guess the original filename and see if it's on ModArchive (e.g. "CRYS-KLF.S3_" in the zip package would be "CRYS-KLF.S3M" after installation)

ModPlug Tracker (and maybe some others but that's rather unlikely) used 7-bit panning with surround command 8A4 for MOD files, much like the X command in the S3M format. However, it was much more common to have 8-bit panning (without surround) in MOD files, like FT2 did it, so OpenMPT uses 8-bit panning these days.
If OpenMPT detects that a MOD file uses 7-bit panning, it will convert it to 8-bit panning on import and converts command 8A4 to its IT/S3M equivalent S91 (but since that command does not exist in MOD files it is shown as a questionmark).

Most players will most likely assume 8-bit panning and not do the same conversion from 7-bit panning as OpenMPT does, so it's not a good idea to rely on this hack.

Help!

When I was young I came across the demo of Mod4Win. Quite the program and I loved the music that came bundled with it. The demo I had had 4 tracks included, the first was More Than Meets the Mind (which I've downloaded and reminisced over!), I think the second was called Leviathian or something like that. The track I am really after was the 4th in the demo playlist. I cannot remember its name, I can only remember the description saying it was either an award winning entry or a finalist for a competition in either 1993 or 1994.

Not much to go on I know but hopefully someone remembers it.

I'm confused as to how this author managed to execute surround pan in this module.

https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=32325

Also, there's a command "?91" (as shown in the attachment) that activates the surround when played back on OpenMPT. This could be the S91 command from .it.

Does this mean that there was actually a way to hack panning controls in .mods? That's pretty cool, ngl.

https://modarchive.org/module.php?163565 and https://modarchive.org/module.php?48985 needs to be merged.

newer upload (nether.mod) sounds okay while the older upload (Netherworld.mod) has some samples corrupted.
