I just installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my new Asus eee 1000ha, and then installed MilkyTracker using apt-get.  So, it ran as it should, I played around with the settings, and got the settings right and everything.  Shortly after, I decide to get Milky to display in fullscreen, which I did several times in different resolutions, and they worked, until I went to a setting that exceeded the native resolution of the monitor (1024x600).  I'm sure that there's a configuration file somewhere to delete, but I can't seem to find it in the file system via a search for "milkytracker."  I reinstalled Milkytracker, and it still wouldn't run properly (I uninstalled through Add/Remove Applications).  So, what do I need to do to get MilkyTracker running as it should?

A note: I went to the System Monitor, and checked under the Processes tab, and started MilkyTracker via Applications -> Sound & Video -> MilkyTracker, and the process didn't even appear.

do a 'ls -a' in your home directory in a terminal, does anything milkytracker-related turn up then?

It's .milkytracker_preferences in your home directory, if I'm not completely mistaken. The . in the beginning makes it a hidden file.

Thanks, guys.  Raina, that was it.  I fixed it thanks to somebody in the IRC channel.

Mod, I'll remember ls -a if it happens again, and I need to find a config file.

Yes...for every unexplained error we always check for home/username/.milkytracker_config

shoot ctrl+h while in username directory to reveal the hidden files (.blablabla files are often hidden)

Track n Roll!!!
