sample levels low
« on: December 06, 2008, 22:22:33 »

Not a big problem, but I noticed many samples sounds somewhat muted in nitrotracker.  I can adjust their amplitude individually to make them louder, but I already set all my samples to almost clipping volume in soundforge on my laptop before moving them over.  These are 16 bit 44khz mono files...maybe nitrotracker is doing some conversion on them?

Thanks,

Devin

I've experienced the same thing. I think it just the DS's output jack. What kind of head phones do you use? (I assume the same ones you used to mix them).

not sure if i helped any. :P

It would be good to know how those samples show up in NT's sample editor? Do they look "normalised" as they probably do in Soundforge, or do the look silent(which probably would mean that some kind of a conversion has happened within NT)?
