Milkytracker.org

Since milkytracker.net has ceased to function any more, and the owner of the domain is still AWOL, I have registered the .org domain and have directed it towards the mirror of downloads provided by The Mod Archive.

Unfortunately, there was no backup of the website, so all there is at the moment are the downloads.

New Hosting

I also moved modarchive.org to a new dedicated server this weekend to keep up with the demand, the previous server has been choking under the strain for the last year and now I really had no choice but to jump to a more expensive hosting arrangement.

As you know the MilkyTracker forums have been hosted within ours for several years now, and now added to that is the domain and primary download site.

IRC Chat

For those who aren't aware of the IRC channel for MilkyTracker, log into irc.esper.net with your favourite IRC client and join the #milkytracker channel.

If you don't have an IRC client at hand and you're happy to put up with a Java-based one, you can use the one available on http://modarchive.org, but you will need to be logged in in order to issue the /join #milkytracker command.

UPDATE:

Good News. Fortunately, the MilkyTracker folks managed to have the milkytracker.net server resuscitated and were able to obtain the site data. I have now mirrored this over at http://milkytracker.org so should the site go AWOL for another extended period, we have a backup.

Update: modarchive.org is now hosting milkytracker.org in full (for quite a long time already, actually).

The .net address is no longer advised, and we'd like to urge anyone with bookmarks on sites to update them.
