I'm trying to determine the source of a choir sample used in many, many tracked songs (including Second Reality, to give a reference point).

All I've got to go on is that it's frequently listed as "Gothic Choir" or "choir.raw".

It's definitely not the very distinctive Korg M1 choir, nor have I been able to find anything similar in the various Roland ROMplers of the era.

My best guess is that it's from one of the EMU ROMplers but was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.

Assuming you mean sample 19 in "unreal ][.s3m", my guess would be that it comes from a sampler CD (or that it was sampled from choir music). Sounds difficult to hunt it down...

Sample 19 is indeed the one I meant.

I could be from a sample CD, but it sounds way to clean to be sampled from a choir recording.
