What's the best place to find free XMs and XIs?

I'm primarily looking for single hits of drums, for use in Milkytracker.

Can anyone point me in the direction of free ones I can download?

try this topic, there are many sources. it really depends on what genre you're going to write in your tunes, but you could try TMA Waveworld, the are all kinds of drums.
