need help!
« on: April 05, 2008, 04:00:04 »

so, i have been using milky tracker (more just fumbling around) for a week.  I look on YouTube for some tutorials, and cant find help for this.  I just need to know one thing before I start tracking for real... How do you make one track play, then add another, and another, while the song is playing? i put down a bass riff, and want to add more to it, after the bass riff goes once.

I dont know exactly what are you asking:
Here some solutions....

1) A module contains patterns (the "pages" where you write the notes).
If you want to add more of these pages to your song, click on the "seq" button on the top left corner, or press INS button also at the top left corner and increase the pattern value with the "+" button until you reach an empty pattern.

2) A pattern (page) contains some columns where you write the notes. IF you want to add more of them, press the "ADD" button, just below the "config" one.

3) press play to the song using the "play song button" the r-crtl key, the enter key... read the manual.

4) for write notes into the pattern while the song is playing press play while the "rec" mode is active...

sweet, did it, makes sense now.  I had a problem because i went from a tracker on my Nintendo DS that operates a little differently, or I just didn't know this then, either.
