I cant open the files ; help me

I downloaded some files from http://www.modarchive.com/torrents/ with Opera 9.0 ( it supports torrent ) , all the files are **.zip.zip , and when I try to open them w/ winrar , a diagnostic message said its damged ;
why ?
and how can I grab them ?
should I manually change their extensions ?

If I remember correctly from the Torrent FAQs, this problem is caused by a MIME-map problem. Just change the ".zip.zip" to ".zip.torrent". I may be wrong, though. I suggest you read the Torrent FAQs.

A torrent is a file containing information about a download. When opened with a torrent client, it will start downloading small packages of the files the torrent links to. A torrent download has many advantages:
-It can be paused/resumed at any time.
-You can help distribute the file while you download.
-It reduces eventual bashing on mirror servers since torrent downloads are runned from common home computers.
-Et cetera...
