plays only first pattern

I have a song with multiple patterns, but when I press play song, it just keeps repeating the first pattern. is there any way to fix this?

you see the little square on the top-left? you have to tell the program which pattern to play there.

Which button are you using to play the song? There are buttons and shortcuts for both song and pattern playback.
