Sustaining Sample

How does one go about making a sample in which it sustains after u release your finger off the key?  ???

You have to dive into the instrument editor and enable the volume envelope. Then you can use the envelope editor and/or the instrument fadeout value to create desired results.

i kno that, but when you release the keyboard, sometimes the sample continues to play and fades. whenever i use the inst editor to make a sustain effect, i have to hold the key for the remainder of however long the sample is. same with fadeout value.  :( i'm sure if i screw around long enuogh ill get it, im probably overlooking something  :P!

after playing with the fadeout like you had said, i finally got the effect to work! thanx raina!
