Help with extracting samples from VSTs using OpenMPT

I am having trouble finding the option or button to extract samples from VST plugins using the Open MPT sample editor.  How do I create samples with the Open MPT Sample editor from plugins.  I have the plugins set up, but I need to figure out how to use them for their samples and not for their effects.

Saga Musix:
You put a note in an empty pattern and then use File -> Export As Lossless. You can then either export it to a file or directly into a sample slot.
