Music Production > Tracking

Greetings from Lord Jon Ray!

(1/2) > >>

LordJonRay:
Is anyone around who remembers me from the 1990s Demoscene?

I was a tracker in Information Overide (I/O) from Japan. I also entered a few TT compos back in the day and used to hang out on IRC as LJR or LordJR.

Axxy:
Hiya

I don't know you personally but I do have 36 modules from the 90s with your name on them if you are the same person?

Welcome back and are you still making music?  ;D

LordJonRay:
Hey.. yeah I'm! MOD-wise, I'm all over the place and made a lot of tunes in the 90s.
The music I make these days can be found on Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, and Social Media. Look for "Lord Jon Ray" that I release under as a recording artist. Also, with 2024, I'm making a renewed focus on music and going to work on getting some newer stuff out there.

Thanks!

m0d:
Promoting Spotify etc services to people here is like the antithesis of why people are here for module music. Its nice to know you are making it out there but please bear in mind that it falls on very deaf ears here on TMA where open format modules -are the way- and streamed music is very much shunned.  :-[

Its a common mistake I see happen, and it can turn into a lot of negative response which is totally opposite you want to happen :o

So many return-to-roots artists fail to recognise that they themselves have moved on and beyond into the mainstream channels while we (module zealots ) have intentionally not.

I too am on those same services, which is why I am sharing this as it might not have been clear but promoting stuff from them on here is kinda frowned upon simply because its overground, not underground

That said, welcome back LJR.  :azn:

LordJonRay:
No worries m0d!

I'm not here to promote anything, I was just answering a question. Thanks for the heads up though.

I still have roots in MODs even though I don't make them anymore and am currently trying to recover as many of my old songs as possible as well as re-archiving my old Demoscene group "Information Overide" which was based in Japan during the 1990s.

So I happened upon this site and hoped to reconnect with some Demoscene mates.
Cheers!
