All merged except for "funky dumbass" as there's something interesting about the 2nd file I want to investigate first.
I also rephrased the first post a bit to hopefully make it clearer that it's not required to specifiy the file to keep.

Some more, sorry if I am doing this too much... some of these arent exact duplicates in the sense that some samples might have been swapped or the BPM have been changed one way or another.

First file ("crockets" / crockets.mod) is corrupted.
Third file ("crockets theme" / crocket-925.mod) has different samples, unlike the 1st and the 2nd file.

Not sure if the fifth file should be considered a duplicate. It is similar to four previous files, but has some differences:
  • it plays at speed of 9 ticks per row instead of 8,
  • pattern data is slightly different,
  • patterns 2 to 18 are repeated,
  • samples 2, 8, 9 are different,
  • sample 12 added.

Am I missing anything obvious here? Samples that are padded with silence aren't really "corruption" - and this appears to be the original file in fact because it's a NoiseTracker file, while the other file is a ProTracker file. So I'm inclined to keep this version.

I'll also keep the two "Für Elise" versions as it's not really clear which of the two might be the original.

Edit: that alf tune has been replaced by a non-broken version.

Nope. Just me being really bad at spotting what is corruption and what isn't.

Are you sure? Unlike the other files it's a StarTrekker module (FLT4 instead of M.K. magic bytes). Of course it could really have been written in StarTrekker, or some StarTrekker user resaved the file in that tracker for whatever reason.

Edit: Still merged since the FLT4 version appeared to be the best.

All of that looks like it's the work of whoever spread the file through that BBS. Before uploading the file to their BBS, they would make sure it's named properly, and remove unused stuff to save space and speed up upload/download times.
