this tune was uploaded in 2018

it is an only-slightly-edited version of another tune which is not on the site, "heavymetalorsomething.it"
that tune was used in a 2009 freeware game titled "Purple": https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe8Kru7BkTc (go to timestamp 0:32)

interestingly,  the author of the tune who's listed in the video is "Shock" and not this "Vebros" person, though there is also little to no info on "Shock".

"heavymetalorsomething.it" (which is attached to this post) is in this zip, with a "last modified" date of 2007

this is all rather peculiar...

edit: i just asked bowser911911 where he got his version of the tune + if "Shock" had any other tunes to his name, hopefully he doesnt tell me that he doesn't remember

he also had this to say:

Other ".it" files I had downloaded from that same page:
"happy_smiling_crustacean.it" has "Song by Shock" in its metadata.
"fortune2.it" has: "Composed by Jean-Philippe "Shock" F. Lepage"
"take_a_break3.it" has "Song written by Jean-Philippe "Shock" F. Lepage."
"ppuppupu.it" has no credits, but the instrument names are similar to those of the other tracks.

so "Shock" is some pleb from france called Jean-Philippe F. Lepage, who was active in 2007. absolutely no idea who this "vebros" person is though, but i have compared both modules and found a good bit of circumstantial evidence:

"vebros_bb-boss.it" seems to be a quick half-assed edit of the original module (it has channel names, a filter on the 5th channel, was saved with OpenMPT 1.27 whereas the original was saved with OpenMPT 1.17, both percussion samples are replaced with different percussion samples, and the edit history of the ripped module is a session lasting 6 minutes on June 13, 2018. the original has no edit history at all)

i'm more or less at a dead-end now

addendum: searching up shock's real name reveals that he also goes by "jrlepage" and is a bit more known under that name. he also has accounts on a few websites but he's inactive on all of them so i can't exactly ask him if this "vebros" person is him or not (which would finally bring something conclusive)
