Amiable and relaxing string-ambient-kind song. All the melody is Mono. I don't mean it is bad because of that, but panning melodies gives the resultant tune a different colour. I perceive a sad mood in here.

Nice synth and choir melodies! Looks a bit redundant, but the whole song is quite interesting. Melody by 4:00 catchy, hence comes the ending.

Cymbal is louder than the rest of the sounds. In patterns 009/010 there is a nice drum progression. Piano melodies are OK.

It's not as good as its predecessor, but still is good. It keeps the almost same rhythmic style. There is some sadness in the music, as opposed to City Planning's "cheerfulness". Well, after all, when projects are being designed, mood is always positive and full with great expectations. But future succession of events can change that. Now, in this tune we see the 'death' of part of 'that project' (the city), as is the case of demolition of builtings. Perhaps I'm completely wrong, but I think that change is what the author wanted to convey through both songs.

I don't know how to describe this one, but It's kind of 'occult' melody; something hidden. It's not sadness, nor neat happiness. I don't know, but it is relaxing. Try it.

Another nice song. A bit very redundant, but the ambience created is very nice. Essencial for backgound music-hearing. There is one string sound which seems to be out of tune, but it might have been in the author's intention to show a little decaying feeling by lightly detuning the sound. There is another backgound-guitar-or-synth-like-sound which appears to be detuned. Listen to 1:15-1:16 to easily see what I mean.(This is a recurrent melodic transition in this song) Its end is kind of rare, for it looks as if the Mod were unfinished. Or perharps the loop setting was accidentally ignored.

This kind of ambient song is good for creating nice atmosphere, thus listening to it as background music. Despite being monotonous, there are nice things to discover. This tune is nice for a late night music sesion.

Another nice song. Although there are some parts I didn't like, they give the whole work some nuances. Sounds at the introduction seem to be kind of non-harmonious, but they are not. The composer must have intended to show some sort of "mess"(from 00:00 to 00:39) as is repeated from 1:18 to 1:30. I know readers won't care this, but I particularly don't like the 'chaotic' part expressed by the piano, from 1:45 to 2:10. Nonetheless, melodies from 00:40 to 1:18 and 2:12 onwards make this song Worth listening. And there is a latent overdrive-guitar sound which gives the entire song a nice presence

This is a very good one! Very fancy, lively melodies. The drums' halts are attractive enough for breaking up redundancy. What may be considered a second, final part, is a mood change, shifting from uncertain to unreachable cheerful melodies. The end is OK but too abrupt. Nonetheless, it keeps the entire song's feeling. It is quite simple, but very nice too. And above all, it is accurately long. It leaves you wanting to hear it a second time in a row, or even a third one.

Evidently, a similar melodious theme as in Desert Dawn, by the same author. It is a nice 4-channels song with interesting melodies. There is a change in this song, by 1:58 that pronounces a forthcoming slower pace. Then the rythm speeds up again, but keeping the slow-paced-melodies type.

Very emotive song. Highly recommended. Anyone, amateur or pro artists, can learn a lot from it. Amiable and Tragic melodies succeed each other very well. Very smooth harmonies are contrasted to heavily-busy ones. Great!

This Mod is another one that brings my melancholy back. It's got simple but attractive notes. It deserves some listening, for the ongoing melodies are interesting. It's good because it makes me listen to it more than once straight. I really like this one.

This is a great song. Despite being long and melodiously recurrent, it's worth listening. It is perfect as a background tune, and there are many things to discover if paying attention. The swinging pannings sound very nice in here, and I particularly like the sound entering at 1min 31sec.

Another old one. Nice pannings. Melodies melt effectively well into each other. Reverbs make me kinda remind of caves, where dragons used to dwell, didn't they? And the acute "peaking" harp-like sound makes it sound like a crystal cave.

Ancient but nice. There's a lot of sentiment put down here. Sounds' panning is too-extreme-too-bad, but consider it's a old-4-channels mod. The general melodeous idea is fancying. It's worth listening.

The intro melody is Very nice. And the following 70 seconds try to keep its niceness, and they do it OK. But then, there is melodic change at 1:14, which keeps changing. So all the niceness foreshadowed at the beginning is lost. By the way, the end is no good. But it is worth listening for its first minute. It would have been a great tune if the essence at the beginning had remained.

This song is another great success of the author. Its melodies really make you feel being in a jungle. I like the way he was able to convey the 'alarming' message about the rain forests being cut through melodies. In the very ending slide-down melody, you can feel despair; that something wrong is being done, and as if there was lack of hope, feeling that opposes the vivid one throughout the former melodies. (I wonder how many hectares have been cut since 1991)

I can't leave this one out of my nostagic comments. The White Tiger is a very nice song because of two things. First, its melodic progression is amiable but fierce, and second, because in less than only two minutes the composer was able to create two differente but related atmospheres, a former powerfully optimistic and a latter softer and gloomier, drfting between incoherent sadness and uncertain hope. And both parts are successfully bridged by an interval of 12 seconds (00:45 to 00:59), which forcasts the fothcoming melodies. The ending leaves a feeling of optimism, making the whole song complete. So, I can't but grant it with the highest.

Going on with nostalgic comments, Captured Sun is another one of my favourite songs; a classic in my mod collection. It is an energetic song with a touch of uncertainty in its first 25 seconds, which is retrieved from minute 1:28 to 2:40. Hencefordward comes my favourite part in this song. There are interesting things to pay attention to here, behind the main sounds, like the background synth sounds, which would be the rhythmical acconpaniment. There seems to be an attempt in pretending this song to have a closed ending, but when looping it, the ending sounds match the first notes at the begining, making of it a loop.

This is another one I liked a lot when I got it many years ago, and it is worth saying something about it. Whenever I listen to it, I always have the impression this tune creates a lugubrious, obscure or occult enviroment -or a mixture of them all- as if something was trying to get 'hidden', but is still notorious. It is a nice song, though a bit repetitive throughout, which may lead to boredom. Thus, perfect as background music.

I got this tune by the year 1997, and I loved it at first hearing. That's why it is one of a handful which I burnt on a CD so as to listen to them regularly. Melodic progression is great. Sounds suit perflectly to the ambience being created. And its title is a perfect and faithful reflection of the melodies going on. It really makes you feel an ambience of power. This is one of those mods I will always listen to.
