Erm... Isn't this that one song from Marathon? "Rapture"? If it is, this is a pretty good cover, up until about halfway through when it starts soundin' pretty outta tune, not to mention repetitive. Still, a good step up from mid-90's midi. |

I couldn't fit all the reasons to download this module in this comment if I tried. Warm pads, soothing piano, and a positively 80's drum beat all sum up one of the most magical songs I've ever heard. |

Nice, happy pop-tune with some memorable leads and a bouncy chord rhythm. No other song's name has so accurately portrayed the tune itself. =] |

What starts out as somewhat ordinary is very uplifted by strong feeling and beautiful melodies. And yes, the filter effects are very wisely used. One of my favorites. |

Everything in the foreground (vibes, synth) sound good, but they're let down by the mind-numbing percussion and drab bass. Also, looping the song was kind of a bad idea. A nice, melodic slowdown or even a quick fade-out would have been fine. But overall, the artist has got his point across. |

This is a very nice 80's-ish tune. In fact, it coulda been improved if it had a nice, flowing guitar solo and some high-pitched vocals. The snare also needs more 'bam' to it. |

I kinda like this one. The wahwah synths go pretty good with the slowed-down, industrial beat. SFX were used a bit in excess, and the guitars don't sound at all believable, but it's listenable nonetheless. |

The chiptune/techno approach to this has somewhat killed the original theme, but, I'm happy to say, has replaced it with another, more 'remix-y' feeling, and still keeps to the original's spacious atmosphere. |

I have no idea how this got into my UnrealTournament/System directory, but it was very fortunate for me to stumble upon such a well-composed piece of XM. The sudden stop at the end makes this tune a bit unenjoyable in that respect, and demands subsequent repeating. (Or at least letting your mod player allow autolooping) |

I was kinda disappointed by the flow and listenability of some parts of this tune (e.g., some parts have unsilenced samples that keep repeating, some are out of tune...) But it's effective enough of a mood-capturer that I can just see JC Denton hunting down the Skaarj... |

The lead in the beginning is pretty nice, but after 30 seconds of the vocals, it begins to distract from the rhythm. It doesn't seem to hide the well-executed bass, though. |

What the mellow rhythm in the beginning leaves to be desired is quickly delivered as the smooth, harmonic pad is introduced. Those aesthetics are quickly diminished as a harsh techno kick takes the spotlight of the beat, and kills the feeling. Following that, some nice MIDI Panflute notes chime in, making for a very Chizra-reminiscent tune. That's quickly cut off as a slow, rising pad takes over and yields to a harp's groovy rhythm, which is soon accompanied by a pounding tympani lead and some majestic strings, giving the mod a large, medieval theme. Soon after, that diminishes and gives way to the rhythm heard in the beginning, which, quite anti-climactically, fades off. Very fantastical, but I wouldn't compose for any D 'n' D games quite yet. |

Very, er... short. I mean, I wouldn't call 21 seconds incomplete, as I have heard many a song as such. What I find to be the cutoff is it's buildup, and then stopping short. And with nothing remarkable in between, I wouldn't quite call this mod a keeper |

I didn't actually hear the original song by Opeth until long after I heard this, and I must say, this cover is excellent. It's too bad you didn't do the vocals for it(Though I can't blame you, singing a cover accurately is hard). Also, great sample quality. |
