Some qute cool melody at the beginning with some nice string and few hithats and base. A quite mysterius and qute song. Everything is very low volume (compared to the drums), so its kind of hard hearing the string. The song makes no mayor changes while running, however i like it, even though the bad volume. Well chosen instruments but he should have raised the volume on some samples, aspecialy smp 1. Apart from that this is a good ballad, a well recommanded download.

A pop megasample enters first, only drum. Then base comes in and after few more seconds some synth. After that much more comes in which i cant explain (to much). However, everything sounds pretty good, rocking on in a good tempo. The first part lasts to 2:25 then the other part starts. In my opinion it sounds better then the first one however its false sometimes which lowers. The whole tune stops with a nice piano thingy. Summary: Not so bad rock tune, quite different.

Some drums and a awful elec guitar enters at first. Then more and more bad samples keep entering. Sure, the song might have been ok if it wasnt for those AWFUL samples, they are the worst i have ever heard anyone use in a hardrock tune. The bad samples are the first thing you notice about this tune, i cant understand why the artist chosed samples like this. It has some cool parts, but the samples ruin the song anyhow. Everything sounds like one big bad mess. As i said above, these are the worst samples ive heard in a long time, this song gives me a headache, most due to the samples. This song does not sound very serious and is not a recommanded download, even if you like music like this.

I expected a normal technomod when playing this mod, some boring thing. Actualy this was better then i thought. Techno is not exactly my favourite style, but this song was kind of good. It sounded kind of false sometimes, but i forgive him for that. It reminds me of something like 2-unlimited could have done. Some effects used, the artist surely knows what he´s doing. Some vocals are used, i have heard them somewhere but i dont know where. This song was quite good, i didnt fall for it though, its 3:06 long.

Some nice guitars enters in the beginnins, and then a flute comes in, everything sounds very nice. But then, eek, some very fast hithats and then the whole songs goes out into a Hardcore song. To bad, if the artist had continued that melody in the beginning it might have been a very nice song. However, this is like most hardcore tunes, it just keeps going without any special changes. However, the flute and guitar is nice, rest is just normal hardcore stuff. Everything is very nice in this tune, to bad its just hardcore :/ Well, its not bad, even though i didnt enjoy it some other might.

The song starts directly, sounds like some Game music, pretty cool. Im not even gonna try and explain everything i hear but it sounds good. Drums are rolling on in normal tempo, the base is good, the chords are good, the lead-sounds are very good to. Very cool song. I dont have anything to say about the samples, they are good. The song itself is over 4:30 long, i enjoyed most of that time. Is is good indeed and dr.awesome (not to confuse with Awesome) has used lots of effects, there is no doubt of he´s skill.

A nice goa-ish melody first enter and then a bassdrum. After that some hithat which is then accompanied by a clap. Very fast start, everything sounds good. I heard one goa (what i can remember) before, and this sounds very like. Guess goa is one of those styles. However at about 1:30 the song takes a completely different turn, some very cool lead comes in, creating something to listen to exept the backgroundsounds. The lead melody sounds very good (even though its not that advanced). The drums comes in shortly after. At 3:07 the song stops and 1 or 2 seconds later another melody comes in, sounds very good. Then the drums comes in after a little while. I find it hard to explain what i hear, all i can say is that it sounds good. If you´ve heard a goa tune you probably know. The song stops with a thunder at 5:02. Good instruments (for this song), many 16-bit (which adds to the size of the song). A good goa-tune indeed, might not be that very interesting, but i guess thats goa =P

The song begins with an indian megasample, sounds ok, but it stops before the next one begins (you will understand when you hear it). However soon some drums comes in and the song begins. I dont know goa so well, so im not sure this is goa, but anyways is sounds ok. I cant find any main melody in this song, only backgroundsounds. It contains lots of vocals, one of them is "This is dedicated to all the ravers in the nation" which probably many have heard. This song has its times, sometime is sounds very good, the vocals on the other hand doesnt realy fit in so good. Rest of the samples is good and the song is running for 4:02.

Before starting to write about this song i must say im rather amused by the filename of this song, gmsmall.xm. Its almost 2 mb unzipped. But, to the song: It starts with some hithats and a clap. sounds good, good rythm. After 14 seconds a vocal comes in, the quality sounds realy bad. However some base soon comes in. and in ABOUT 1 MINUTE (im playing the song as i write) a 6X !!! (Bassdrum X 6 !!!) comes in, Everything sounds crap. Dont they have some sense of how making a bassrdum? You dont make it 6 times!! Well, exept for that this song is ok. Exept for one more thing that i just noticed, they playes almost everything more then 3 times. Makes the whole song sound shit, impossible to play. I must tell you to avoid this tune, unless you want your house to fall apart (if you have good enough speakers). Samples are ok, fine, but not X6 !!!. Eeek!

The song starts with a vocal that repeates 2 times. Then the song starts, contains some drums and base. But then after a while some synth sound comes in and after some more seconds more vocals (same voice). The vocals realy makes a big part of this song. The rest of the song is good. The song realy fits the vocals. Sounds almost real. Although not so advanced, it sounds good. The vocal is realy good and the rest of the samples is good enough. Not so much effects but im not complaining, it sounds very good anyway. The song is about 4 minutes long.

The beginning consists of a strange melody, then some drums somes in, the vocal "Would you like to play a game" comes in every now and then. Some acid sounds comes in sometimes to. The song has no chords, so its very quiet. The artist uses max 14 channels out of 32. The artist took some 303 samples from Maz-sounds. Everything else then those is 8-bit. The drums are played to loud at the end, the other sounds is ok but not to exiting. This is a very short song, about 58 seconds long.

Is stars with some base. At 0:14 something that reminds me of a c64 sound (looks like one to)comes in. Sounds ok, then that sound stops and begins again with some snare some seconds later. It sounds ok, but not to exiting. Not much effects, the sounds are ok, not to good though. Then i dont know what to say, its 2:16 long, doesnt sound bad, but not the best ive heard either.

Yeah! I can promise that some of you remembers the game Duke Nukem 3D. This is the main song of that game. I remember it so good, ive heard this song zillions of times. For you that havent played the game its a fast Rock song. However, im realy starting to wonder, this song is exactly like the original midi file. I wonder if it just was converted to mod or tracked. ..... Well, i just checked with the original Midi file, and strange enough that is exactly the same lenght. So my conclusion is that this was just converted with some program, not tracked. Therefor i decided not to put the "Converters" name in the Composer Name. The original midi is quite good indeed. It feels kind of strange judging a midisong here.. hmm. However, this song is good and i bet many would like to have this song in .xm format. Go ahead and download. Its running for 1:02.

Very mysterius start, very interesting. Some strange sound playing and some chords to that, and base. Then some handclaps enter, everything sounds very mysterius. Then more drums enter, not standard drums, but mysterius. After a while the drums gets enhanced, showing the speed of the song, but at 1:30 the song stops and begins again about 5 seconds later. Now in a more trancy way. It keeps going, very nice all the time. Always getting enhanced to avoid getting boring. A song like this might easy get boring but this artist has succeeded quite good in avoiding just that. Well, the song is 3:35 long, which is a pretty normal lenght and its perfect for this song. Many 16-bit samples, not that i heard any bad quality, im sure they would have worked fine as 8-bit to. It makes the song a little large but thats nothing to care about. Summary: A good Trance song for those of you who enjoys this style.

This is a remix of the song by Madonna with the same name. This song is realy powerful, i havent heard the original so much so i cant compare them, but this is a great song indeed. Its some sort of mix between pop in the beginning but the in 1:50 the song realy speeds up to a fast dance tune. I relay cant complain but i liked the calm part in the beginning better :) Its almost that i want to get up and dance, but i try to sit still on my chair. The song feels realy right, i cant think of anything thats missing, it doesnt not feel empty. On the other hand the chords create a very "filled-up" (didnt find any other word for it) song. Very good, aspecialy the piano. Well chosen samples for this song. As i said nothing feels wrong the only thing i can "complain" about is the dance part, i liked the slow better :) But thats a matter of taste only, im sure all the Madonna & Dance fans will love this song.

A beat for start, then a base comes in in a strange melody. Then it suddenly stops, and a hithat and a clap enters. Snares then helps the song start. A nice synthsound comes in with a ok melody. I think the synthsound should be played louder. Then the songs keeps going with the drums, base and the synth until the songs stops. A short and not to interesting song. Its running for 1:49. Samples quality is ok, the song is a little boring and to short. But still there is a cool rythm in it with the synth sound. An average tune, not that very good, but not bad either.

First i better point out that i havent heard the original song. Then i might tell you that this is rock. Ok, it sounds good but not to convincing. Starting with some snared and drums. Then the guitares comes in. Ok, it doesnt sound bad, im no mayor fan of this kind of music btw. It realy sounds false sometimes, but kind of good on the other hand. I cant realy say i enjoyed this song, but in some strange way i still did, some parts where good, some sounded false and wherent that good. I havent got that much to add about the insruments, they where ok. The artist has used some effects to make everything fit in good, but as i said it sounds false sometimes, i wonder why he havent fixed that. Summary: Download if you like (hard)rock and Offspring, kind of cool song.

A strange beat for start.. I notice already that this song will be quite long. A hithat enters after some seconds. And a clap some seconds after. Hmm, i think "when will the song start?" Some other sounds comes in a bit later. This sounds like some strange beat/house song. I cant realy hear any real melody in it, which is kind of boring. But on the other hand, thats house isnt it? The drums seems to be the main object in this song, i cant hear a melody or anything, just drums and base. Eek, this is a boring song (unless you want to hear drums for about 6 minutes). Sure, he has variated the drums good, but i dont think it lasts that long. Sounds like backgroundmusic. Well, atleast the drums are good, (there aint realy much else to say, since its almost the only instrument in use). Good drum samples :) The few other samples the artist has used is strange, but he doesnt use them so much. In 5:40 i think i heard some vocal, but it was played in a to low volume to be notice, .. atlast (!?) the song is finished at 6:17, .. i cant realy say i enjoyed it, but some others might.

Some rave noises enters my ears when pushing play. Then some fast drums enter, yeah, this will be fast i think. And so was the case. The song starts realy fast (no slow beginning :)). Its a real speedy song Calle has created. Some vocals in it to. But what i am hearing is realy just drums and base. And a vocal sometimes. Its good, but when i think, where is the main sound??? Ok, here it enters, at 1:48. The drums stopped at the same time, makes a cool feeling. Then the drums started agagin. But at 2:25 something strange happened, the song slowed down, felt like a bug. But i keep listening, it speeds up again at 2:50.. yeah. Keeps rockin, good tune, very fast. I cant realy explain everything i hear, you have to download yourself and see. Ok, enough with compliments,.. The song is good, a little bit repeating thouhg, lowers the score a little bit. One melody is played wrong and makes a strange sound, i guess it should work as background sound but it got to loud (its the sound the song quits with) so it felt wierd. However this song is realy fast and good. Good rythm.

Thunder comes out of my speakers and some nice hithats. Then a nice funky tune begins. Sounds like country or something. Aah, i enjoy it big time. It was a long time since i heard something like this last. The song is very good, and some vocals too. Im amazed, this song has it all it seems. And everything sounds good to, aspecialy the electric guitar, its awesome. Great samples used by a great composer (which i cant recall hearing a tune from). Its very good, please download it, you wont regret it if you like this kind of music. Its not even the slightest repentative, very good job Mefis.

Some small pizzicato melody first comes, then some chords. After that something that sounds like a dark flute is added. All with the same melody, then some violin i think. Still with the same melody. One melody has now passed and some more pizzicato enters, a few seconds later some hithats which sounds strange. Sure, everything sounds great... for 30 seconds, then you get upset with the lack of changes, and the melody is way to uninteresting. Some fast drums enter at 2:00 or somethin.. hmm, fast drums to this calm song .. strange. However they become more strange after a while and finaly stops, hmm. Some other sound is then added and its incredible, it hasnt got the same melody. This is silly. The artist should have spent much more time into this song. As it is now, repeating waaaaaay to much and a bad melody, VERY bad drums. Something tells me this is not a serious song. Sure, good samples, but the song on the other hand isnt realy that good. Way to repentative and way to strange drums. I cant think of anyone that would enjoy this tune. Download if you.. hmm, no, dont. Its running for 6:50 and its almost the same melody playing all the time.

It starts with a neat little quiet melody and is then accompanied with a some boring drums. The melodys in this song aint very interesting nor good. Its repeating very much. I can realy hear that this is the artists third mod (which he says). Its lack of changes and good melodys makes a very low score. I didnt notice any effects. Hmm, there aint realy much to say about this song, its boring and uninteresting, 3:59 long. Sorry if im throwing shit on your song Simon, but it just aint good in my ears.

I have no idea what style this song is. The song starts directly, there is no intro. Some base, drums and another instrument playing. The thing im most bothered about this song is the very strange speed changes in it. And the song itself, its cool, but very very strange. Hmm.. the artist seems to know what his doing, since the strange speedchanges sounds correct. And there is lots of other effects in it to. But which damn style is this ?! How should i judge this? However its very short, about 1:20. Sometimes good sometimes just strange.

This is faster then the other 2 songs (finpolk4&5)i reviewed. It starts fast and is way more interesting then the other two. However it doesnt realy lasts that long. To repentative, not so good, 16-bit samples here to (same as in the other 2). However there is atleast some speed in this song which makes it a bit more interesting then the other 2 i reviewed. Summary: Novice Polka tune, ive heard better, much better.

This song starts out as all polka songs, no intro or anything right on to the music. What can i say on how it sounds.. it sound like polka :) However it isnt relay that interesting, same parts are repeating over and over again, doesnt realy last for more then 30-60 seconds. The Violin should be played higher, its to low as it is now. All 5 samples are 16-bit which is good cause the song is still small enough. However i dont think this was tracked, no effects are used. Midi perhaps ? Summary: A boring little polka tune.

Aah, polka, one of my favourite styles (atleast when its done good). This song rocks on as normal polka. However, ive heard better mod polka. But this song is kind of ok, if you like polka that is :) All the 5 samples involved is 16-bit, good quality in other words. Something tells me that this is a midi-convert or something. The artist left no name or anything, just the name of the samples. And no effects are in use at all. Summary: Good for those who likes polka :)

"Bird flyes out there in the bare sky, i stand in my house and watch them as they fly out there. They are realy free, unlike me. I want to fight against everything, making me free. I draw my sword and the fight begins." Thats what i thought when i heard this song. It starts with birds singing and a little base and then the "fight" begins. When the song starts it realy rocks loose. Combining flute, electric guitar, drums and base. The emotion when it starts is great, the calm beginning realy makes the song "begin". What is there to say? There is plenty of effects put into this song. The song itself is small, which is good. Its hard to belive that this song is only 4 channels! I would bet at atleast 8 if i just heard it in some player.Its running for 3:15 and is a very god job in my opinion :) I like this song realy, and the flute i love, combined it reminds a bit of "Fountain of Sighs". Which is one of my favourit songs :) Download now ! ;)

I push play, a nice piano enters. Qute little melody, not to advanced. An Oboe soon comes in and forms a realy pleasant thing for your ears. Then it stops, and another piano melody enters. Sounds realy great, after some seconds it changes, and sounds cruel, which sounds very cool. The Oboe enters a little while after that and some Snares soon starts to roll. I enjoyed this song very much. It is very qute and at the same time it prescribes cruelty and happyness. I could imagine this: A knight comes riding on a road beside a meadow. A girl walks on the grass, picking flowers. She is blond, and looks very good. When she sees the knight she smiles. And, he cant help smiling back, he feels happy that this girl who looked like a queen smiled at him. But then! A man came rushing out from the bushes and grab hold of her and lifts her up and runs away with the girl. The man sees the whole scene and rides after the kidnapper in persuit. He is running against a forrest, so the knight hurries. He knows that his horse cant ride in a thick forrest like that and he cant run in the heavy armor he is carrying. He draws his sword and feels he have to stop that guy. The girl is screaming. But then, the horse trips and the brave knight lands on the ground by a Krash! He sees the man running away with the blond girl he liked so much under that short moment. He knows he cant save her. And so it ends. Technicaly this song is superb. The samples is beutiful and everything is very well worked/thinked over in this song. There is one thing i dont like about it though, it ends in the middle of nowhere, which is kind of strange. Just when it has begun, it ends. So it feels, which is kind of strange and not to good. But even if it would have been longer i dont think it would have reached up to 10. But this song is VERY VERY GOOD, trust me. Its not often (almost never) i stumble upon a song like this. GLiTcH is a very talented tracker, i admire him. Btw, this song got a Strong 9.5.

Drums and some sort of electric guitar for a start, then a base enters, sounds realy cool. After some more seconds a drumloop comes in and the song seems to have started. Then another cool sound enters, then disaperaes and then some choir comes in and creating a nice environment. The base is always there and it sounds good with the rest of the song. At 1:57 the songs starts again and i almost feel like getting up and dance, but i dont. Some strange sounds here and there which doesnt realy fit in, but it sounds mysterious and great anyway (i love mysterious songs). Technical this song aint much to talk about, there is a few effects here and there. The artist seems to know what his doing. Perhaps a little bit repentative but ok anyway. Strange environment. Download if you like strange tunes, hehe.

Everyone that has owned a computer since 92 cant have missed this game, Gods. It was realy famous at the time (i didnt like it so much myself but the music was cool). However, this is a remix of the main song of the game. A song which i like very much myself. This remix isnt that bad either, it could be explained as a extendment. The artist has added some drums and changed the song only a little bit, which is why i dont realy like this song that much. The original is good enough and i rather listen to that instead of this little extendment. When judging this song im trying not judging the whole song, i judge the enhancements that the artist has made compared to the original, which is why some of you might complain about the score. There aint realy many changes done. But its hard to give a song like this a low score, since its realy good, a though one, i recommend you to download the original instead. This side is ok, he used some megasamples but im not complaining about that since the original had some to. There aint realy much to say about this songs technical side, its simple, and it should be simple to. Its realy good, some nice enhancements to make the song better, but i prefere the original anyway, to few changes in this song. He is just trying to live on a old good song. Its running for 2:34.

This is like a standard chip (suprised?), that includes much effects and small samples. The song is 12k unzipped, normal size for a chiptune. However i find it hard to write a review on this song, its only 0:30 long, very short, even for being a chip. Standard drums, ok base and a sad melody is all this song contains, not realy much to listen to if you ask me. Perhaps i should say that i am a mayor fan of chipsong and this is not that very good. Ok, as in most chipsongs lots of effects are used and this is no exeption. Summary: This is to short to be noticed, and even if it would be longer im not sure that it would have been good, sad song. Atleast it doesnt sound false :)

Some strings faces my ears after i hit the "Play" button. Then they stop and some chipsounds & drums comes in, creating a good rythm. at about 0:30 more sounds come in and creates a strange melody which i find hard to hear. He should have raised the volyme of this melody so you could hear it better. However, at 1:42 it slows down and changes pretty drasticly. Now the tempo is slower then before, but about 1 minute later the melody that was played before comes again. When that melody came back i felt like this was quite booring. Ok, melodys are ok, lots of effects (suprised?, since this is a chipsong) and good drums. However, it doesnt last that long. I guess listening to this song 1 minute is enough, then you just dont want to hear more of it. Overall: Cool, but way to repentative and kind of strange.

Some realy mysterius noises for start, reminds me of a calm cruise in space. When i come there gliding around in my spaceship reading newspapers, a cool feeling. Then i wait til about 1:45 when the song starts, some hithats, a bassdrum and base. It gives still gives me this cool feeling about being out in space. It is indeed a cool environment basehead has created in this song. Good samples to create this space-feeling that i mentioned, it realy gives you a space trip. Very athmospheric, there is a sense of harmony in this song. Creating a good athmosphere is not always that easy so i admire basehead for that. Hmm.. The only thing i can find to complain about is its lenght, 6:30, but on the other hand, it makes the trip longer (No, im not on drugs, hehe). Very enjoyable indeed, good job basehead. Download if you like these athmospheric/spacey/ambient tunes, i like it.

Calm intro for a start with nice chords, they were played a little off-note in the end of the first pattern but i spose that was meant to be. The song begins fast and very soon some drums enter (they are megasamples, but what the hell). Chords and drums dominate the song until about 1:30 when some other ambient sounds enter. It creates a quite catchy tune with nice speed and a cool environment (due to all the chords/choirs). After a while the songs calms down and the drums stop, a nice piano enters, not that very interesting melody in it but its ok. Drums enter and after a little while the piano- melody gets a little bit more advanced. Its good music indeed but the lack of interesting stuff (its actually a bit boring) lowers the score a little bit. Good drums in this song. Ok, as i said, they are megasamples but they realy help the rythm in the song. Ok samples, but the song lacks of a real melody, i guess it could work fine as background music. Summary: Good, but a little bit boring.

It starts with a weird hithat that sounds realy bad. Then a realy cool melody enters, after that some hectic drums. And then ?.. i want and i want, 1:40 of the song has passed, a little middleplay with the drums comes up, then the same song continues, but this time with the "cool" melody changed. .. Time is now 3:00, a new sound comes up, i cant identify it but it sounds ok, .. Then the drums stop.. A few seconds later they come back again. at 3:51 some new stuff happens for 10 seconds, that did sound quite good, but it only lasted for 10 seconds, then some stupid beat thing comes in and then the drums again, argh. Sorry for saying this but, the author cant have put much time into this song, same patterns repeats atleast 4 times (pattern 56 was repeated 10 times for instance) each. and for a song running for 5:34, thats totaly unacceptable. Sure, lots of effects, some of them actualy makes some cool sounds, but most just makes the sound sound strange. However, the reason for this song to score only 4 is cause of the very large amount of repeate, the same thing plays out in the whole song which gets kind of booring after 1 minute. Not very successfull if you ask me, this could have been good.

I got kind of frightened when i first pushed the play button. What i heard was a very bad piano, sounded totaly mad. However it was soon to be joined by drums and other sounds. The song got a little better then, but i still cant say i enjoyed it to much. Ok, in some ocations the piano is relay good, but most of the time its just in the way, making a dumb noise. Good effects, bad sounding piano, good drums, strange. Thats how i would summon this song. Else i dont know what to write about this song, its piano, its base, its drums, and its strange. One good thing it that id didnt sound false thouhg. Its running for 3:39.

The original comes from the C64 and a game called "Ghouls ´n Ghosts". I have never played the game but about 6 weeks ago i got the music in dat format. What i heard was amazing. I had never realy heard anything like that before, the creator of this beauti was Tim Follin. However, i cant say which of the Ghouls ´n Ghosts songs this is (there where 9). But this song is realy good anyway. I realy love the flute, sounds like magic to me. Dont think that this is made with sid sounds now. It contains guitares, flute, drums e.t.c. I admire Jogeir for doing this as a mod, cause the original music is the best music i have ever heard for a game. Technical this song is ok, it got the effects it should have. And the way he uses effects to make the flute sound like the original is amazing, very good done. Everyone that played the game or just likes Jogeirs music should download this at once. It is realy great music, too bad i never got the chance to play the game though :)

Hmm.. i find it VERY hard to judge this songs Style. It begins with some drums, and then some chords arrive, thats about all i hear all the time. I find it hard to listen to this song, perhaps it could work as background music for a game or something. It is about 3 minutes long and is very boring all the time. I even thought it sounded false some times. Not realy terrible but not that nice either. 2 of the 5 samples in the song are 16-bit. Overall = Sure, you can listen to it but how interesting is it ? (not so very)

Yeah, some fast base, then a kewl drumloop, i sense this will be a trip with speed. More drums enters and i feel i almost want to get up and dance. However the cool stuff doesnt last so long, very soon some real strange sounds comes in and destroys that dance-feeling of mine, however they stop very soon and is replaced by other ones thats better then the previous strange things. Sounds alot better now. I notice that the artist has used quite alot of megasamples, a minus for that. If it wasnt for the megasamples this song wouldent be what it is. However its fast and nice. As i mentioned before the artist has decided to use lots of megasamples to build up the song. But it works without them so i almost forgive him for that. I noticed some stereo effects in some places but i cant hear them cause my soundcard doesnt support it. But the fact that this song i quite strange, i just cant release that feeling. Oh, quite large to, which is mostly cause of the megasamples 1.5 mb unzipped. Running for 3:36, which is normal, not to long and not to short.

Aah, sounds very powerful in the beginning. Powerful drums forms a very ambient tune, atleast for 1 minute, then the basedrums come in. Then a electric guitare enters. Sounds good but not very interesting. I keep on listening... You could imagine a angry robot trying to find his victim. I cant find much to say here, one of the things i notice now is the realy bad drumloop.. eek. However the rest of the sounds sounds ok. The song is good done but way to long and uninteresting to be noticed, thereby the low score. Its running for 5:10
