It wasn't my favourite entry during the compo, but hearing it again at home made me realize it was a deserved victory after all. Really nice samples and well-mixed in particular. Well done boys!
(For fun & kicks I also relistened the original OHC entry, man, what a far cry :P)

____________________________________________________________________ | | | Saga Musix and Teasy present: Reptile in Jamaica (3:43) | |____________________________________________________________________| Words from Saga Musix: I would never have thought that I'd do a Reggae tune at some point (I hate the usual Reggae music with a passion...) - however, I was trying it out "just for fun" in an One Hour Compo. This tryout was the base for this tune, which I then composed together with Teasy. It's my third coop tune and I think it sounds quite good. :) This tune also won the tracked music compo at the Ultimate Meeting 2010, and I'm quite happy about that. Though it was probably a bit too easy to win. ;) Don't ask about the silly song title. Basically, it's also the result of the One Hour Compo - the sample pack of this compo was a tune by Reptile... I guess you can figure out the rest! :P -Saga Musix, 31st of December 2010 Greetings fly out to everyone I've met at tUM 2010, in particular: ace`r`us, Addie, Alpha C, arvenius, faith, franky, eha, halcy, jco, Joooo, kb, las, manx, MedO, mouldyCat, Nightmare, okeanos, paniq, pro, psykon, Raven, sirrah, styx, T$, urs, wzl, Zavie and everyone I forgot (sorry!) ___________________________________________________________________________ Thoughts about this track (Teasy): Is a man, captivated by the reptilian brain, desiring the escape to a Jamaican hideout, or simply adapting to a new state of being? ____________________________________________________________________________ This work is (c) 2010 by Saga Musix of Nuance and Teasy and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. How has this ever slipped my attention! This is beautiful. And done in only one hour? I salute you, sir. Fantastic chord progressions, nice rhythms, great changes. The build-up is awesome. Though I usually don't fancy the reggae afterbeat as some sort of gimmick, it works very well here. Excellent layering too. And the samples are wonderful.
