This song reminds me of watching my daughters growing up. I know that sounds simple, but it really isn't, when it comes to this song. It starts out quiet, like the time before you're born, and then gentle, like the story of a newborn, and then it picks up - you can't help but think of a kid running around exploring the world. Then it gets very fast, like one's teen years and then adult life itself. That's what this song makes me think of, in vivid detail.
Apparently, according to the comments in the song, it did NOT make it into the 2nd round of the M4V Veterans' competition.
Aquafresh, wherever you are in this world right now, I've been aiming to tell you for TWELVE LONG YEARS... that's bulls$%t. I listened to the songs that did qualify in that compo and I know for a fact that your song should have been in the final round.
This song, unlike those other ones, told a story - one that has stuck in my head and played every time I looked at my kids.
