I love spacesynth (and italodisco) and all Michiel Van Der Kuy's various projects (Koto, Laserdance, Proxyon etc.) and this remix is no exception. It has all the traits of good spacesynth. |

A nice chip by cerror, like always. Shouldn't the module be tied to his account/persona btw? |

Sine-ish melodies and a soft kick combined with a heavy snare and a kickass bassline. I'm sold. By the looks of it, every channel used is pushed to the max here. |

Good samples, complex harmonies with a lot of variation in the percussion and fine tuned dynamics... long enough for a couple of consecutive replays also. |

Does a moderately good job of capturing how it feels when having insomnia, little harmony and dull repetitive patterns with chords, melody and bass moving chaotically in different directions, this goes overboard later in the song, where it all feels a little bit "too random". |

For half a second I thought it was going to be a mere remix of "Axel F", turns out I was really wrong. |

Posted Mon 20th Jun 2011
Rated 9 / 10 |
This is the type of tune that invites you to sit back in the sofa, relax and close your eyes. It creates a perfect atmosphere for this with the dreamily echoed samples, the voice samples also fit in quite nicely, especially the distant female singing in the background. |

Awesome orchestral work, anyone that succeeds with this in trackers are per definition skilled. The piece itself is varied, just when you thought it's repeating itself, a whole new direction is thrown in and it's really not hard to listen to it again and again, especially not after reading the story in the comment of how it came to be called "One Scotch Long" :) |

Sounds a lot like an Elwood song, with fast and upbeat melodies. |

A strange little accordion song, with a super simple bass. Way too short and repetitive. |

Pretty nice idea, the tune itself is minimalistic and reminds me a little about the intro theme to the game Flashback, too bad it falls short on it being too short and using ST-xx samples. |

A good example of how well a track can sound when it uses proper effects (in this case reverb) on the leads. |

Old school, good composition but uses the horrible ST-xx samples, there's a few remixes out there that gives the piece justice. |

Catchy chiptune, but the hihat samples are annoying and overall the samples are too low quality. |

Catchy, but ultimately too short. Becomes repetitive really fast. I'm quite sure I've heard this melody somewhere else put I can't remember from where. Does anyone know? |

A highly energetic - and melancholic at the same time - song with a forward driving bassline. It's only a couple of patterns repeating, but the melody and harmony works great together. The drumline, which is really just a kick sample played on every downbeat is a bit disappointing and can in fact be muted and it's still a good (call it bastardization, but this is one of the things that makes modules better than already rendered music) track. |

Sounds a bit rushed, but for a rushed track it's quite listenable, but definitely below the average of Dalezy. There's melody and a bit of accompaniment in the background, not much more. |

Title: YOU - cYrOn remix Filename: you-rmx.xm |
Posted Mon 20th Jun 2011

Pretty bad, but at least there's some attempt at making a melody, if the artist had tried to refine the track a bit more instead of what sounds like 15 minutes, he would be on his way of making something listenable. |

An electronic tune with good samples, professionally sounding arrangements, a somewhat elusive melody played by a bell sample. Tight drum-line, but it feels bit weak harmonically, although it sounds clean and utilizes the stereo to the maximum (never a given in modules). |

Good mix, containing the various hit songs from the early days of happy hardcore, the transitions from song to song are smooth. These recreated songs makes me wonder how many of these retracked songs were actually composed on the Amiga (and Atari ST), because it sounds pretty authentic, without using megasamples... |

I've probably listened to this track 1000+ times, not kidding. I've used it as an alarm track in my stereo also. Samples are a bit bad, but this is absolutely the only negative thing, the rest is virtually flawless. No repetitiveness, excellent usage of panning and other effects. |
