Very short tune that sounds like some theme song from a game. The samples are very good, as are the majority of samples Felix uses in all of his songs. Give this one a try, for it also has a unique feel to it that I guarantee you'll enjoy! I know I do! |

This feels like a cool Metal intro for a show or something. If it weren't for the very short length of the song (less than 1 minute) and the really poor quality of the samples... Don't get me wrong, the guitar is played nicely (them being XTD's samples after all). That's why I gave this rating, else would've been lower if it wasn't for that. At least it feels original somehow. Freakin' 4-channel limitations... |

Not a bad techno song, but not a great one either. It uses okay-ish samples, but I feel like it's missing something and I'm not sure what. Maybe more variety? Less repetition...? It's also kinda short (only 2 minutes long). I would only recommend this to techno fans, so go ahead and give it a try. |

Another up-beat tune from CSM that stays true to the artist's style. However, the problem with this one is that it's split up into 2 parts and I just don't think the second part was necessary at all. It doesn't even fit. Not one of the artist's greatest. Besides, the quality of the samples leaves to be desired. You could still give it a listen, mostly for the first 2 minutes and 40 seconds; that's what I did. |

High-quality progressive track. The bass line is particularly strong in the intro so be cautious of your speakers. I didn't like the samples used in patterns 11 and 15; feels like they don't belong at all. The song starts to shine during its second half. Good composition and good samples. Some clean voice samples here and there that build up the atmosphere but I guess that's it. Get it if you are a fan of this kind of music. |

Another one of CSM's tunes that burst with creativity and originality. Nicely put together indeed, but I wouldn't really say the quality of the samples is that bad. The instruments sound alright, with just a couple being actually poor. I would say the main problem with it is that after a while it gets kinda repetitive, being a little long and all. Still, this is definitely a song that anyone could enjoy if they like relaxing stuff. |

The difference between a remix and a remake is that this is actually that: a remix. By now, there are a lot of Rednex's Cotton Eye Joe remakes in the archive, but only a couple are actual remixes, this being one of 'em. It uses totally different samples and while it stays true to the main melody of the original song by using some of the well-known voice samples too, it actually feels like a fresh attempt to remix a popular song. The only downside is that some samples are taken from Hotman's 4-channel mods so the quality isn't the greatest. Even so, congrats to CSM for the originality. |

One of my all time favorites, this must be CSM's top work. Everything sounds absolutely fantastic, despite only 4 samples being 16-bit. I rarely praise modules like this, but the quality of it all is outstanding, not to mention how lovely that choir accompanies the uplifting soft melody and the electronic elements. The song is fast-paced and has a lot of variety. I love the drums and the bass, hell, I love it all. Great use of all the 16 channels and excellent composition, purely awesome! |

Rarely can you find a dance tune that sounds a bit different than the others, but honestly, the mesmerizing guitar strings and the voice samples really did it for me this time. The most notable thing about the song is the atmosphere: even though it is a dance track, this is incredibly relaxing thanks to some of the samples. I can tell you will have a great time listening to this one, as it is definitely one of the better dance tracks out there. I would've loved more of those strings, but oh well. |

I would have to agree only with the second part of the review below, as I do not find this song as boring as other ones coming from Yoz. Sure, it might be kinda repetitive, but personally I can easily get over that thanks to the overall great composition of the track and the pacing, which I give a lot of attention to, considering we are talking about the dance genre. The only things this song lacks are more variety and the ability to get noticed in this genre, as it isn't remarkable in any way. The samples are okay, but then again, nothing you haven't heard before. I did enjoy the intro though, and I can certainly say it is one of the good dance songs out there. Give it a listen. |

What an odd cookie for an artist who only does dance modules. I really enjoy the piano melody in this one and the pacing fits the atmosphere created by the instruments, especially the flute, which I would've loved to hear more of. I would've also loved to hear less of the guitar lead, which in my opinion was too loud, and kinda ruined the whole feel of the song. Suffice to say the song is worth a listen if you can get over that and the repetition. |

Finally a good 4-channels techno track from way back when. It has 30 samples with which the artist is trying to make the most of it. There's plenty of musical variety throughout, but it feels like the leads aren't so well developed. The samples are okay when it comes to the quality and the composition makes it so that you can actually enjoy the song whenever it becomes more repetitive. It runs for almost 5 minutes, but I think the artist could've ended it just before the 4 minute mark, as there's nothing new happening after, besides the ending which is alright. Definitely a download for the techno fans. |

If it is one thing that I wouldn't recommend anyone to do is listening to songs that incorporate mixed genres. Namely, this song, which features Metal instruments that build up the melody on a Techno base. Almost all of Omen's songs are of poor quality, which is why the rating is a 3 (listenable) and not a 2 (poor) on this one: you can actually listen to it without having to skip patterns. The instruments in the songs are sometimes too loud or too quiet, and to make matters worse, many of the guitar samples he uses feel like they don't belong there, are overused or just simply exist to make your ears bleed. This one is no exception and to quote someone else that left a review on one of his songs, it feels like 'amateuristic' music, so despite other reviews, I do not recommend any of his songs to anyone. |

This song is a short rave tune that features some jungle elements. It's really short for a rave song and also repetitive, considering the genre. It also features some of Alison Moyet's voice samples from Love Resurrection. The piano and the melody are alright, I liked them. The ending is a bit sudden, but all in all it's a good rave composition, despite being only 1 minute and 45 seconds long. I recommend it to any fan of the genre. |

This one is exactly what the artist says it is and uses very high quality samples, hence the size. However, out of a total of 20, most of them are 8-bit, but you can't really feel the difference. I always enjoy when tracker musicians take time to recreate popular songs outside of the scene, so I personally prefer this one over the original because it's also missing the lady's voice samples, which makes the groove stand out. Also, this was achieved with only 6 channels, so that's something I guess. And yes, it's quite repetitive, but is that a problem that you can't fix? Just do it in the mix. I can't stop looping it over and over again, so definitely one of my favorites. |

A quite unusual dark electronic track coming from Balrog, the groove man. Although a bit repetitive and not even 2 whole minutes long, this just shows that the artist can step out of his comfort zone and explore new musical genres with success. I definitely recommend this one to anyone that fancies electronic music, not just the hardcore types. |

This has got to be one of the most uncommon tunes you can stumble upon here. Makes me wonder why no one else has said anything about it yet. Firstly, I would like to praise the quality of the violin which is absolutely unreal for a MOD. The guitar strings are just as good. Secondly, I can't believe it's barely 40 seconds long... It had so much room for development, especially because of the 28 samples. I can only fault it for how short it is. Anyway, it took me by surprise and put a smile on my face. And it will put one on yours too if you give it a try: you only have 40 seconds to lose. |

A great, small disco song on which the artist could've built more melodies, but Balrog is way too friendly with short tunes. It also sets a good mood so it's easy to listen to. I don't think the ending fits though, but the song can be looped so it's no problem. Recommended to any disco fan that would want to improve their collection. |

A very short and relaxing guitar tune from Balrog. The song loops nicely once it's about to end, but other than that, there's not much else to say aside from the fact that the handful of instruments sound good. I recommend playing this anytime in the background, so relax and enjoy the warm and calm atmosphere the song sets. Wish it was longer though. |

While people got intrigued by Random Voice's well-known chip monday, I, however, got intrigued by this piece. I can understand why it got featured: good lead melodies, nice variety, some technical skills are present and for a song that was made so long ago it can certainly live up to this day. The only problem is the sample quality: being made 27 years ago you can't expect much. It's enjoyable, due to the composition and originality, but kinda poor too. |

One of the popular funky tunes by Marwin. This one was submitted to a competition and while it didn't get the chance to win any prize, it did win my attention. And it should win yours too if you're into soft music. Frankly, I believe the drums are too weak, but one can't have it all. That aside, I can't spot any flaws in this track. When it comes to the funk genre, songs need to have a little bit of everything and this one does. It's 4 minutes long and it doesn't get boring because of its excellent composition, sample quality and instrument play. If you're a funk person too, then this is a must have. |

What a small, interesting, up-beat tune! And a co-op too! Finally one that shows exactly what each artist worked on. This needs to get featured, it definitely deserves more attention! The song feels like a love letter to old amiga tunes because of the main leads and some of the samples it uses. Marwin did a great job with that piano jam and the sickening bass, while Lepra enthralled me with the lead melodies. However, this song isn't perfect. Although easily removable, I spotted an audio bug on pattern 20 and that piano, while a bit too loud, is quite overused. Not much of a bother once you get into it though, so try it! |

Stumbled across this soft drum & base tune by accident and I wanted to give Lepra a chance because most of his songs are very short but brimming with potential and creativity. This is only 2 minutes long and a little bit low on audio, but the atmosphere created by the instruments lead by the flute is simply mystifying so I couldn't overlook it. I recommend this one if you can keep an open mind about music. Not much can happen in 2 minutes anyway. |

This starts with a nice guitar melody, but I got fooled into thinking it's gonna be anything like that; probably someone else's sample, don't know for sure, got too bored to check that out while listening to the songs, because the only genre these artists specialize in are techno, techno, techno AND...... trance. What I'm talking about is that one would wonder how to avoid repetition in such a genre but not Obeewan, nor Ely, not even Geraldo... Commendable devotion to the very old-school techno tropes, but just wrapping that guitar loop endlessly with drums and 1 or 2 more instruments each pattern do not create a song worth listening for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. This applies to every other song of theirs, which follow a similar structure and why you also shouldn't bother with their songs, UNLESS... you must be a DIEHARD fan of the old-school techno style, then good for you. |

Evade strikes once again with an ambient electronic piece, and naturally, this one has everything you need: great samples, great composition, great length, a relaxing atmosphere... This is basically everything the artist mentioned. The only downside is that it doesn't really bring anything new to the genre, though it is, without a doubt, one of the better ambient electronic songs out there. Definitely worth a listen! |

I find this one of the best dance tracks I ever listened to, be it here or elsewhere. It has an 80's style indeed, it's fast-paced and the composition is exceptional. Great use of all 26 channels. Sure, the artist didn't do all the work by himself, given the song was a co-op between him and Martyn once again. However, in_her_eyes_2 pales in comparison. Also, this is a shorter version (I don't know why it's called long). The original song runs for 3 minutes and 41 seconds and can be found on Exotica. I prefer that version. All 31 patters are perfectly arranged, the song builds up nicely, impressive variety with only 18 samples (out of which only 3 are 16-bit)... Definitely one of my favorites. |

Out of all the songs this artist owns, this one in particular caught my attention, mostly because of the guitar samples it uses in the intro. This song is split in 2 parts: hard rock & soft rock. It builds up slowly starting great, but what killed the mood for me was the lead guitar. I absolutely find it repulsive (too high-pitched), which is why I completely removed it and kept my version of the song. The quality of the samples is not the greatest, but it's definitely worth a listen, if you are a fan of this kind of music. |

Initially, I thought of this as a great take on Chris Isaak's Wicked Game but then, almost halfway through the song, a hard rock guitar slowly creeps among the instruments as the lead and ruins the soft touch of the song. I have to say... similarly to every other song of his, Voodoo Alex has a very 'uncommon' way of showing his talents when it comes to the hard rock genre, which is why this song didn't touch me like the original did. You should give it a try though, maybe it's just not for me. |

This song consists of 7 samples (one guitar). It is 4 minutes and 41 seconds long. No other instruments are present although I think it would've benefited from drums. It's only the main melody of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters so it's easy to listen to, but really repetitive, considering the length. So I personally trimmed, edited it and kept it under 2 minutes. The guitar samples are actually quite good. I recommend this one if you're a person that enjoys relaxing music. |

I have browsed through Nino's works and the only ones that got my attention are this one, Waiting for Calypso and Tribes of time. What's noteworthy about this one in particular are the xylophone and flute which work alright for this kind of track. As the artist mentioned, this was inspired by 2 movies and even though Electronica elements are present throughout, it certainly feels like the musical score of some movie. The main melody is easy to listen to, but sadly the song doesn't have a hook, and it's missing the impact, being kinda repetitive and all. Personally, I found Tribes of time a little better. No complaints on the technical side, but considering the artist's words, these kinds of weirder songs are definitely not for everyone to enjoy. |
