Still one of my favorite remixes of Better off Alone. Even the samples "alone" make me think, no, feel "better" days gone past... |

One could say that when you listen to this module, it leaves you in a sort of 'suspension', either one that grabs your attention or 'zones' you out... a "Neutral Zone" :-). It's a mellow listen despite of how upbeat it may sound. On the flipside you could say it sounds boring, but I'd call it mesmerizing instead. Like a relaxed version of Sick on Monday... of course there's more to this track than that but one can still draw the parallel. It's also one of those songs that has me surprised by how soon it ends...! Plus it's pure 90's energy. Did anyone come here from the fake roblox trailer? It's been a year since I found it... too epic of a track to have been used there. |

So soulful. It's a "great" song in every way, its 'grandness' of course, its ability to inspire, the direction with the types of sound; the fantastic samples play a big part with this!... overall I think it's an awesome product of its time. I love it so much! BTW I think the lead works fine, it's just part of the song's concept. Another note: I came to this module because of Winds of Fjords by Minomus, which is more ambient than this one and makes use of many of Voyage's samples... I think that's why I rated it low, because I don't like ambient all that much xD, it just seemed repetitive (not in any good way) to me when I commented on it. |

This module is totally made and given meaning by, of course, the samples it uses. Coupled with the fact that it was a pretty popular video on YouTube many years ago makes it quite a nostalgic listen, at least to me. Besides that, I think the module is well accomplished, nothing seems out of place except the later end of the "Extended" part. Something else about the YouTube video: I recall it gave me a sense of wonder looking at the tracker (ModPlug) interface in the video, which at the time I had never seen. It also seemed to be running on old Windows NT, so... obviously that was not intended but I believe the visual medium enhanced the listening experience for sure. |

AE~ II is much better than this one. However, I will give Ae^ some credit because BadliZ is really good at making "base" melodies; and it really shows, because this module had me going back to it a couple of times, and I enjoyed it every time. |

This is like a remix of bz_you.it, heavier than the original . Here there are many more guitars and arrangements which spice up the song a lot... I would say it is much better than Ae^. Really badass and a pretty enjoyable listen. |

So minomus in general is pretty consistent with his work, this just by circumstances happens to be his most popular. Not sure whether it's his best one though, I mean, it's obviously purposely a simple piece, and it's well accomplished. But he made many more other modules that are more elaborate than this one, for sure. Do give this (and his other works) a listen though :D |

Beyond nostalgia or anything, this is a very pleasant track. There is a certain attention to detail I don't perceive in most of his other modules (although I do enjoy the majority of them). I really like the instrument samples. If only BadliZ came back to make more modules ;_; |

There's a whole lot of potential. The biggest thing would be less 'rigidity' if that makes any sense. Many parts sound like key-jamming despite having considerable thought put behind them, the song sounds disjointed in general. So, harmony.
Like, it could lean more into developing (or working with) the main melody, rather than the side arrangements, which by the way I like quite a bit. The percussion work is very good, can see the inspiration clearly as well.
But anyways, Best wishes to you my man. I like what you do.
