Souuunds good overall. the song certainly relied on samples to carry it,, which I personally don't care for, but made the song sound good, kind of like one of those cheesy 80's bands that certainly blast the tune with effects. I did like the simple drums. Didn't care for the weird voices though.

 |  Saga Musix presents: Arrival (4:09)                               |
 |____________________________________________________________________|

This is my entry for the tracked music compo at Revision  2013.   Just  like
last year, I didn't have a  tune  ready  until  a  week  before  the  actual
party. I recently... acquired some ethnic samples  that  I  wanted  to  play
with, so I loaded a bunch of them  into  a  new  module,   but  that  didn't
really get me started. So I jammed a bit on my D-50 until I found  a  usable
arpeggio that I could combine with these samples.   From  there,   the  tune
evolved pretty quickly, and I'm very happy with the end  result.   A  really
nice piece of synthpop, if I may say so myself. I especially love  the  last
bit with the 80s synth lead and Fairlight  Synth  Vox.   And  I'm  so  happy
about the feedback I got from people at and after the party. :)

Which brings up another topic... My new  Roland  U-220!  I  got  this  cheap
1989 rompler, mostly because it enabled me to do a  high-quality  remake  of
"Steelchambers2" (Pinball Fantasies intro tune), which uses  a  whole  bunch
of samples from said rompler. It has quite a few D-50 sounds,   but  also  a
few nice samples that I don't have on any of my other synths, so  I  used  a
few of those for this tune as well!

Special thanks go to m0d for pre-listening and  helping  me  with  the  song
end - without you, it would be rather boring. And thank you for  turning  up
at Revision without telling anyone, you evil troll. ;) That said,   Revision
2013 was an awesome party, the tracked music compo was again  of  very  high
quality, just like all the other compos. Fantastic releases,   and  so  many
nice people to meet!

Synthpop's alive! Can't you hear it?

-Saga Musix, 5th of April 2013
