There's a simple reason this one is so bad: it's not one of Dave McCool's. It's one of mine. And yes, it's horrible. :P

I gotta hand it to Dave when it comes to composing Christmas song covers. This one is comical in the way that it's using a awfully old lead sample, and then goes all hard rock on you with an even worse lead instrument. The bass line doesn't really fit that well on a couple of notes, but the rest is fine until the rock part comes in mainly due the fact a bass line is missing totally, which would have created a nice balance/counterpoint for the overly loud guitar melody. It's certainly not the worst I've heard though, and clearly this is one from early on in Dave's "trackography" :)
