This piece is dedicated to
the Highland clan Ross; my
ancestors.

In 1372, William, Lord of
Skye and Earl of Ross,
died, leaving behind his
daughter Shalame
(pronounced 'Shala-May') to
the Earldom. The tale of
her love for Brahan Kintail
is renowned for it is told
that she waited 30 days and
30 nights for him on a moor
near Balnagown. When he
finally reached her the
pair dissapeared and were
never heard from again.
