While it carries a pretty neat lead, the track didn't offer much variation. The percussion is constant throughout, ad the bassline is a bit simple. As I mentioned though, the lead was really interesting, utilizing both piano and synth to achieve a nice mesh. This is a really interesting track that tends to get a bit long winded, but still worth a listen once. Sample quality just wasn't there. Everything sounded a bit tinny, from the percussion to the lead. With as much range as the artist employs in his lead, a sample set really should have been used. The percussion gets old after a while as well, but carries the lead well.

Anyone here like Steely Dan? That is exactly the impression I got from this track. Loungy piano and lead, with a funky bass and percussion line lead this one well. Awesome changes, great attention to detail, and a really well written lead compliment this small mod file. Quite different from anything I've heard to date. The lead has some wonderful effects, especially in the small slides and bends. The samples could use a little work, but not much was counted off there due to the date on the track. The artist has incorporated some excellent syncopated rhythm patterns into this track, and made them come out well.

A remake of a track from Parasite Eve, this piece has all the feeling and emotion that the game probably has. Honestly, it's a simple melody, and an even simpler harmony. The artist has done well to incorporate everything together to produce this track, but it lacks a hook and seems to drone on forever. There's not a lot of variance within the samples here, minor volume adjustments and simple effects. The samples are badly looped and a bit too tinny.

One of the cutest little chip tunes I've ever heard right here. It was simple, with a nice melody, a nice hook, and a good bit of effect working. The artist has worked a nice full track here, utilizing every aspect of melody, countermelody, and harmony available. Overall, one of the most creative chip tunes I'e heard yet. Simple, but effective. Excellent use of effects in the track, making every note sound exactly as it should. Technically, the track is sound in both the tracking skill of the artist and the musical skill used to create it. The samples are cheesy, of course, but what do you expect from 9k?

The intro is a bit long, and percussion heavy as is the style of this genre. The short synth work in the mid ranges is rather good, if not a bit simple. I'm impressed with the artists string work, thought it does appear that they looped things a but much. The strings, at one point, begin an ascention, and should carry that ascention to the next order, but it is dropped, as the pattern is merely repeatd. It's the little things like this that can be easily corrected to make the track sound more professional. Overall, not a bad effort in the least, from an artist who has quite a bit of potential. This is where the track lacked. The percussion was flat loops, and the sample quality was not all it needed to be. The artist used few effects, and very little sample modulation to achieve realism or fullness of sound. I would suggest a few new samples, less loops, more variation in the percussion line, and some simple vibrato for the future. The panning, however, was very nice. Again, not a bad effort though.

This extra-repetitve tune has some interesting mysterious samples in it, and some decent fade work, but really nothing else that stands out. The track is full of symple rhythms and overused lines. Pay closer attention to how many times the same phrase is played. Also, think about incorporating more complex syncopation into the track to offer a little more variety. Change the percussion up now and again for some flavor as well.

This quiet trance track follows a really simple, and widely used chord progression, offering up the used ideas of every other trance artist again. Personally, I'd like to see some creativity put into this track, rather than the same old regurgitated crap that every other artist in the genre writes. Nothing special here. The whole track is pretty quiet, and basically sounds like seven hundred billion other tracks out there.

The lack of bass in the opening phrases ofthis track really lost me. The melody is pretty, and works extremely well with the strings and gorgeous harmonies playing out. The bass appears quite late, and is barely audible. Also, after the initial minute and a half, notes start being missed. The artist needs to incorporate a bassline into the track to help carry it. The track is nothing without it. Also, dynamics are very poorly done. Pay more attention to keeping things in mix. Also, there are fifty or sixty missed notes in this track. Pick a key signature and stick with it.

I found this track to be absolutely boring from beginning to end. The constant high notes, unwavering and unending drillied into my ears and almost forced me to end the track early. They finally went away, to be replaced by a new phrase that repeated just as many times and was just as annoying. I think this track could have been accomplished in four or five patterns pretty easily. The dynamics bit, with everyhting that should have been quiet coming out as way too loud, and vice versa. I grew weary of "boom-tish-boom-tish-boom-tish" as well. There's a limit of twenty billion "boom-tish'es" allowed in any given track. This one severely exceeded that limit.

The track is lacking in one thing or another at any given point. At times, some key percussion is needed, while at others a little dynamic flavor would help. The track is not all bad, however. The moves from highs to lows in melody lines is accomplished will, and the bass line in its entirety is not too bad. The balance is not bad overall, but it could be a little better. Also, the tempo changes make the track a bit difficult to follow now and again.

This cute little track incorporates some nice melodious ideas with a simple progression and rhythm. While it is not too bad in its own right, there is nothing spectacular in this track which distinguishes it as being something worth hearing over the bulk of the music out there. The echoes are great, carrying the already well-written lead even farther. Great work also in dynamics. Nothing seems even remotely out of place in this track, which is rather nice. One other note: awesome effects on the key change.

This simple harpsichord track seems to spawn from a classical style fugue or prelude. The progression, however, lacks quite a bit, being very simple. Also, the track is only a couple of patterns long, and repeats itself. This is hardly worth the download.

This is a nice laid back melodic track with a couple of really great elements, and a couple of not so great elements. The track has a nice little screaming synth that pops up now and again which really carries the track to some interesting places. The piano lead is good, even though it seems to come out of nowhere. The piano lead is a bit too loud on the first pass. Also, the track seems to be a bit repetitive. Some alternate progressions now and again would really open up the possibilities of this track.

I'd hate to think that the artist put a lot of time into this track. It truly does not move this listener in any way, except to shut the machine down. There's only so many times one can hear the same think over and over before it begins to become a permanent sound in their ear. This track has a simple synth theme that runs all the way through the track, a chopped up drum loop, and a weak choir lead. In my opinion, "Please Wait" isn't worth the wait for the download time. I had no idea that someone could stretch four notes to over five minutes of music. I would suggest some changes, most notable in the rhythm of the track. Secondly, I would suggest a little more structure to the tracks, rather than just lead and percussion.

Some typical techno ideas mix with some entirely unique styling in this upbeat, high enerygy mix. The lead is carried early by a nice synth sample, though it could have been a little more technical. There is also a nice voice sample that appears now and again to drive the track. The chord changes are few and far between, but the fact that they're there certainly sets the track apart from the majority of the techno tracks out there. Some volume work is done a bit after midway through the track, and makes for a nice break from the monotonous dynamics of the track. More time shoufd be spent with the dynamics of this track to truly catapult it into the "great" category.

This track has a pretty lead, and some really nice supporting structure behind it. I'm a bit annoyed at the heavy percussion, which takes quite a bit away from the track with its infernal pounding. The percussion would fit beautifully if it were much quieter. A lot more work needs to be done with the dynamic levels. Also, it is a bit repetitive

The track has a simple enough structure. Bass-tap-bass-tap, like thirty billion other tracks out there. The bass is also simple, so I won't even get into that. The distinguishing feature of this track is the lead, which is handled by a light vocal sample. The problem is that the sample is a bit out of tune, and not very well controlled dynamically. Some tuning issues severely need to be resolved in this track. Also, some originality in the percussion, bass, and ruythm lines would certainly help.

This is one of those tracks that really should have more to it. The bass drum is never ending, and is far too powerful for the rest of the track. The body of the track is composed of strings and piano, with phrasing that sounds like a cross between circus music and dramatic. There was a minor hint of originality displayed in the lead, but the percussion more than killed that. Just a suggestion here: why not try to incorporate percussion that actually fits well with the body of the track, rather than using a streamlined generic quasi-trance kick? The percussion alone ruined a track that honestly might have been decent.

This funky little tune has a nice flute lead, and a killer horns section remnant of the genre that the track originates from. The artist has gone to great lengths to give this track a real sound, and really has acomplished that goal. The entire track works beautifully together to create a splendid piece of music in a rare style for the tracking community. The whole swing and feel of this piece must have been difficult to comprehend from the beginning. I'm amazed at the detail that is in the patterns here. This track your average, everyday techno tune with nothing really spectacular to merit. The samples are a bit off key, though, which causes problems when listening to the track. I found some of the percussion to be far too strong for the light breaks in the track, as well as a bit boring. The sample tuning drove the track into the ground pretty quickly. There were few effects, and very little attention payed to mix or dynamics. In essence, this track needs a remix pretty badly.

The track has a really long intro that makes a very fluid transition into the major body of the song, which is something pretty rare these days, as intros generally have little or nothing to do with the tracks they accompany. The track is a bit repetitive, bouncing back and forth through a few ideas time and time again, with only minor changes. The lead is really strange, and fits right into the dischord cound of this track. The break in the middle is nice, giving the listener a breather fram all of the action going on early in the track. Some new pregression in the firs part of the track would help, as it tends to get really boring after hearing the same thing time and time again. I would suggest moving to a different chord now and again, just to offer some flavor.

This track was really pretty, considering the limited sample quality and strange effects happening throughout it. The leads were well created, and carried through the great chord progression with ease. The samples could have been better, which certainly would have helped the track out a lot. The percussion samples, specifically, were really not of the highest quality, and the track suffered for that. Also, some fading techniques could be used on the long tones to make the track flow a little nicer.

This track has a mediocre intro, but a really nice rhythm once the listener gets past that. The pizzicato syncopation is classic techno style, with some really nice accents from the bassline. The percussion fits pretty well with all of this, adding an air of completion to this track. The lead is carried in mid-tones, which makes it difficult to hear at times, but it is well laid out, and simple enough not to take away from the voives that fly through this track. The track had great potential for having some absolutely killer climaxes, but fell a bit short in that area. Also, the track only flows two chords, which severlely limited the depth of the song.

This mysterious track has a lot of really interesting sounds in it, from the first few seconds. The artist uses a lot of dissonance to express a feeling of chaos through the track, and accomplishes this rather well. The mixed use of several key sounds as leads is not the best I've heard, but handled nicely in the context of this track. I found the track to be fairly repetitive, and almost a bit slow in places. The dynamics should also be worked with during the light places. For example fade the tambourine down a bit when there's little else going on.

The track is light most of the way through, with very quiet chords being laid out by a choir, and a nice piano belting out the lead. The percussion is great in the track, really capturing this listener with its simplicity, and with how well it fits. The low synth is interesting, but is not anything spectacular. I would have to say the best part of this track are the chord progressions offered by the choir. The dynamics are all a bit low, but they mesh well together. Also, there is great use of limited pizzicato strings in the track that do quite a bit for the continuity, while only presenting themselves a few times.

I wasn't too thrilled to find that most of the samples used were prettly long loops of the original track, but I did like some of the percussion changes. Overall, this remix leaves a lot to be desired as far as originality goes, but has a few notable spots where the artist shines. The leads are simple and effective in the context that the track puts forth, but I think that a little more effect work could have been done with them. With some awesome synths work, and a nice driving rhythm, this track is by far one of the better techno tracks I've heard in quite some time. The mute on/off lead is not particularly becoming in this track though. With the chord progression offered, I believe that a nice flowing lead would be better suited, and truly make the track more beautiful. There are some samples in the track that seem to have problems with the high registers, making the track sound amateur. The 16th notes in the background work well to drive the track though. The track ha some problems after the initial expression of the theme, as the artist seems to take some license in the way the track flows. Late in the track, a nice flute comes in and closes out the bulk of the song. Some samples were chopped badly in the middle of the track, which didn't make it too audibly pleasing. This has to be one of the most interesting mods I've ever heard. Not that it's good, mind you, just interesting. This is the pink panther song remixed into a techno track. I found it slow and irritating, actually. The leads were stacatto, which didn't seem to fit well. The voice samples also were out of place as far as volume levels go. This track had one volume-loud. The samples are really weak, and didn't do a good job of expressing the lead. The bassline was far too simple, not to mention that it was handled by the worst sample in the whole track.
