Nice intro with the guitar harmonics. Unusual drum beat. I like the mood in this track. There are many layers in this. I think the somewhat arabic sounding guitar line is a great addition. The only minor thing about this song are the drums: they are a bit too soft and sound too electronic together with the "organic", flowing harmonies.

reggae track with some nice tempo variations and some nice chord progression, which is a bit standard-ish in the beginning, but evolves into something very nice as you progress. Though the bassline is good, I'm not too fond of the continuous chord pads running throughout the song. They smoothen out the rhythmic reggae effect. The two tempo/genre changes in the track are well-found and well-executed :).

Nice groove! Can't go wrong with a wah wah guitar :D. The samples contain a lot of "noise", but, as can be read in the instruments text, that's what the artist wants. The leads are well-executed and really stand out.

This is one of those tunes you start playing, you turn to other stuff and after 7 minutes of repeated playing you suddenly realise: "oh, right! I was listening to something". It is a 4-channel mod, and a nice, non-intrusive tune with an interesting chord structure. The melodies are played with various instruments, which adds to the "colour" of the song.

I really enjoyed the chord progression in the first half of the track. But then the first part is just repeated without any break or bridge. The melody is somewhat simplistic, but it fits with the continuous staccato piano line on the 8th notes.

Simply amazing. This one will send chills up and down your back, arms and legs. It is reminiscent of Vangelis' Conquest of Paradise. Amazing use of samples, awesome epic/adventurous feel to it. It holds you spell-bound till the very end.

This is pretty relaxed. It has a slow beat and an afterbeat. The bass line isn't really reggae-ish; together with the hip-hop-ish drums, it made me doubt if I even should classify it as reggae. The beep voice is an unusual addition. I like the bluesy trumpet and the vibraphones.

There is some nice suspense in this tune. It has some chip tune elements, but it is nowhere near reggae. Some samples are grossly out of tune. The melody at times is nice, but seems quite ramdom also at some points. The track does not have an ending.

The artist tried to make a reggae dub track. Though it has some elements of it (lots of reverb, solo stuff for the several parts like the bass, drums and afterbeat, etc), it's just below the 1:00m requirement. The bass is too intrusive. It would be better suited for a drum n bass/junge track. A beat like this is fine, as long as you keep accenting the 2 and 4 counts more than the 1 and 3.

It's called reggae, but there's hardly any reggae about it. I'd say this is excellent funk! there's a really cool shuffle groove in this song. It's well-balanced and the samples are pretty clear. This gets you wagging your head. It's a very easy-going tune.

Although this is some sort of redo of the Dutch reggae hit Suzanne by VOF de Kunst, it has a unique feel to it that is actually pretty good. The melody is a bit more melancholic than the original.

This track consists of chopped up loops. It doesn't really have a theme or a melody, just random brass. still, the sample quality an general feel of this reggae track are reasonably enjoyable.

Reggae chip mod. The thing starts off with a low quality (quite enjoyable) drum beat. But then the lead comes in... and oh god, that lead is out of tune! I would have enjoyed it more if the low quality drum beat would have been replaced with higher quality samples when the lead comes in.

4-channel dance/house mod. It's a bit minimal. Some clear samples. I find the vocals "Free your mind, your energy. Come on, kick it, rastaman" a bit tacky ;). I do like the gated effect on the "activate" sample. There is some enjoyable rhythm in this.

The sample quality is not the highest, but this is proper reggae. Recognisable melody, good use of blue notes, it really gives it a soulful feeling. The staccato bass line adds to the reggae feel of this track. It even distantly reminds me of "54-46 Was My Number" by Toots & the Maytals.

:) Though the artist calls it "an attempt at jazz", I hear very little jazz influences in this. I'd say it has enough elements to be classified as samba, such as the syncopated rhythms, the heartbeat bass drum and the heavy accented second and fourth count. I find this very enjoyable :). Great rhythms :).

I can't help but hear a reference to a line in a famous Dutch song: "Steeds als ik je zie lopen, dan gaat de hemel een klein beetje open." This must have been awesome at the time it was made :). Nice piano intro. Gotta love that drum loop that has been used a zillion times in synthesizer/tracker/dance/rave history which does however enhance the rave feeling of this track, including the "No Limit" sample. Problem is: after a while all samples are thrown together on a big heap. Anyway, this will bring back memories for sure :).

Oldebrook de gekste!

w00t! Takes you back to the good old bumpin 90ies. The beat at times reminds me of German DJ-team Dune's tracks and is typical for the time the track was made. Though I'm not too fond of the high-pitched dance hihat. There's a nice, filtered bass line running in the background. There also isn't really a melody that stands out in this track. The samples are actually pretty high quality.

Jeg vet ikke helt hva du prøver å gjøre på denne jollen din?
I get the feeling something went wrong when this was added: There is a lot going on in the patterns, but the track has only 2 instruments, while there are up to 12 instrument numbers used in the patterns, although they are not in the instruments list. So based on what I heard firstly, and on what others will hear when they download this, I'd say this is very poor.
The full patterns, however, got me curious, so I added some instruments myself, and then I had to tweak them to the right pitches, after which a mere Listenable song was the result.

This is alright. Though it's listed as Funk, I wouldn't exactly call it that. This serves perfectly as non-intrusive background music. Interesting (unusual?) chord scheme. The warm pad makes the soft lead synth stand out.

This is a fast rave tune which starts off with an interesting rhythm. There isn't really a break after which a new or sparkling theme begins. It just builds and builds, and more instruments and loops are added.I'm not too fond of the heavy clap sample. I do like that arpeggio synth loop. The thing gets a bit repetitive after two minutes.

Impaler uses a lot of tempo/time signature switches, which rather catch you off guard. Though this in itself is alright and deserves some credit, it sometimes doesn't fit. Many samples are not too clear, and he uses a extremely high pitched crash cymbal as an open hihat. Sometimes the double bass rolls fit in nicely, sometimes I just can't stand them. Maybe some true metalheads may enjoy this.

Being a percussionist myself, I can enjoy this kind of percussive ambient stuff. Very nice and interesting use of percussion samples. It has some experimental industrial feel to it. Nice display of effect command knowledge. This could easily be the background music for some science programme.

This is quite the spheric, ambient, relaxing track, much like a dreamscape. It even somehow reminds me of gagaku (japanese court music). Although some light percussion instruments are used, it's hard to detect a beat in this song, or even a solid melody. It just floats and hovers. Music for meditation. Or accompaniment for bedtime dealings (for whatever it is you intend to do there). Not for people who look for ruff stuff!

Though it's just a very basic test, I think this grooves quite a lot. When I saw the rather low pattern numbers, I thought this can't be something serious. It is. It's a beat. Nothing more, nothing less. The bass's sub is awesome. The rest of the samples (like its title says: It's all marbles!) are actually pretty clear. Don't expect too much, just a straight-forward, unconventional dance beat. Some show of rhythmic sense.

An awesome, intricate waltz! fantastic adventurous mood in this piece. The build-up and chord progression are simply amazing. The melodies, however, cut themselves off and could be a bit louder. The pizzicato strings are a nice touch, though they should be used an octave higher. They now "clash" with the bass.

The intro is very promising. It takes a while to really get started. Then a basic, but strong rock drumbeat comes in. The thing just floats by, there isn't really a recurring theme. After a small drum break, the mood of the song becomes more progressive, though the end is somewhat sudden.

Great mood, got to love that piano, and that string bit. There is a great build-up in this song, though I myself would have chosen different samples for the drums. The bass drum is too thin. The bass guitar does not hit all the ground notes of the chords. The track is now good, but could have been awesome.
