This is excellent reggae. The composer shows that he knows about bass lines, which is very important in reggae. The tempo is good and the mood is right. It's a bit of a commercial, polished, sweet-romantic tune, but I think most people will enjoy that. The build-up and accompaniment in this song is amazing! I have had this tune in my modules collection for ages, and it still amazes me.

An extra point for the effect command control, but I'm not too keen on this type of "reaggy". Reggae is more than just a pop song with a piano afterbeat. The flute melody contains some strange things at times, that don't really fit in. The tune's too fast for reggae. The melody doesn't really stick.

This a very unusual chiptune. I'm not even sure if I should call it a chiptune. Meztli shows that he has the abilities to make an attractive rhythm, and that he knows his effect commands. His melodies seem a little random to me, though. As if it was pure luck that they sometimes come out great, but at times sound totally off. I do like the up and down modulation (key change).

This is awesome! I love that bass line! Absolutely amzing use of samples. got to love that "froggy" pad in the beginning. Great rhythm, professional samples. It's a bit long, though.

If anyone should ever ask what tracker music sounds like, this is a good example. Interesting synth melody and chord progression, clear samples, great display of tracking skills, eye for detail.

humm, I don't really know how to classify this tune. I don't even know if I should classify it as a tune. It looks as if the artist was testing their knowledge of effect commands. The whole thing feels a bit eerie, there are some nice chords, but I don't know what the artist tried to do with the drums there. I assume it started off as a trance tune, but it got out of hand a bit?

This is highly enjoyable :). Nice rhythm, and oooh that melody! I'd call it a mellow-dee :). There isn't really a musical break in this song, it just floats by, like its title says: easy goin'!

Nice metal tune. The artist manages to make a very diverse track, that keeps the listener interested till the (somewhat odd and sudden) ending. The guitar samples are very clear and the melodies are thick :). I find the snare drum a bit thin-ish, but that intro works very well for me, especially in the second pattern where the hihat comes in; great build-up :)

Wow! This is just awesome! If there's anything to comment on, it would be that the hihats and the synth melody could be a bit louder... The guitar riffs and solo's are just astonishingly awesome. The whole thing is very well-balanced.

Not bad for a first attempt. I like your guitar sample, though reggae usually has a full guitar chord pattern, and not just single notes. Also, your snare drum may be a lot louder :), and it should be on the 2 and 4 counts, not in unison with your guitar/organ stabs (reggae is usually counted one-e-cha-ka-TWO-e-cha-ka-three-e-cha-ka-FOUR-e-cha-ka). Don't give up yet :), I'd like to hear more reggae attempts :)

Nice tune! Though it is listed as Reggae, it isn't really Reggae. It's more pop-like funk, though I can enjoy it. Interesting melodies and chords. And yes! A drum solo! very nice, interesting rhythmic pattern. The artist should have spread it over several channels, though; now the different samples cut each other off.

hmm. It's reggae alright, but it's too smooth, like very commercialised reggae. The bassline is nice, but sometimes does not hit the proper ground notes. The piano afterbeat is too thin. There's an organ chord running in the background constantly, flattening out the rhythmic element, which comes with the combination of bass, drums and staccato afterbeat, which is reggae's trademark. The song is good musically, but not a good representative of the reggae genre.

nice jazz/soul song. Clear samples, which always works for me, and the artist shows a great deal of tracker- and musicianship. The only thing is that the drumbeat at one point does not fit with the general feel of the song. It is in double tempo, while the rest of the song grooves on in the previous tempo.

Very good. The bass line is very interesting. The song has a very uplifting melody and chord progression, and there's a lot going on in those 4 channels. Hein manages to keep the song interesting for the full 4:30mins. There are many different themes and bridges in the song, Very well thought through. It could be an early Madonna song. excellent!

This is good! Nice realistic samples. Great display of tracking skills, eye for details, and knowledge of instruments. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 10 was the ride bell cymbal. The artist should have let it ring, by dividing the eighth notes over two tracks. Now it sounds like a cut-off. For the rest, it's perfect!
Is this song a comment on the change in No Doubt's choice of music, back in the days?

And Pip... the weird thing at the end is the reason why it's called reggaetonphobia.

I don't really know what to say. sample quality is good, nice show of musicality, but it's not a track that's easy or pleasing to the ear. I felt this could run in the background of some science programme on TV, not too disturbing, or conspicuous.

it says in the instrument text: a shabby song, and that's what it is. The nice rhythm with the pad in the beginning caught my attention, but then the flat drums came in... I was waiting for some sort of bass to come in, but it didn't. It sounds like you're playing some street fighter game on one of these old Gameboys, although the samples are too clear for that. It has some metal elements, but the thing lacks power. The abrupt ending is in line with the title, but the artist just makes the final note from the prefinal pattern run for half a pattern, and thats the end.

What can I say, the composition is nice, although it gets repetitive towards the end. I find the audience-sample a bit tacky, especially when it abruptly stops after one minute. There is a guitar sample in the track, which is meant as a bass I believe, but it does not really work as a bass. So it sounds a bit thinny, overall. Still, this is pretty good for an 8 channel mod.

Cool title, cool tune. I'm not that much into chiptunes normally but I do like this one. Nice happy melody and a cool non-standard drum pattern there. There is however some strange tempo "dip" at some point which I can't figure out.

The samples are good, but I think the suspense before something fresh happens in the song is too long. And it's a bit monotonous.
In my opinion, the artist could've expanded the beat a bit more. It's a bass drum and some hihat rhythm (which in itself is nice, but could use some accompaniment). But I guess that was the style back when it was made in '99.

This is a wicked funk-dance tune! Groovy beatz, great melodies, deadly samples, and well built up! The string lead melody didn't work that well for me but the rest is superb! And it gets a little repetitive, but I figured the song could be featured in fashion shows or some classy clothing store.

The drum loop is good, but I miss the cymbals/hihats. Both the supportive and lead melody are played by the same piano, which goes on too long in my opinion. Then there's a break, with a flute, strings, pizzicato strings and the piano, with too many high notes, but the pizzicato runs are alright. The song ending is nicely slowed down.
The chord order is nice, but the song is too lengthy in my opinion.

It starts of nicely, with some repetitive pad pattern, when a house beat comes in. The thing consists of about 6 or 7 different song phrases, which have been put behind each other and tied together, which gives some odd effects at times. The sample quality is of reasonable quality, but you can't exploit that too much in a 4-channel mod. The didgeridoo-sample is cool, but 1 of the lead instruments is out of tune.

Ok, there's some mystical ring to it, but in only 7 channels with 6 instruments there isn't much room left for reverb effects and stuff, which harms the overall impression of the song. The "christmass bells" sample doesn't work that good for me, but the bassy drum has some rhythm to it, which is alright. And it is cool that the artist has his own games to put his music in.
