Nice twist on the famous name. The author says this is a ScreamTracker MOD, but ModPlug Player identifies it as a ProTracker MOD, and all the samples are 8-bit. In any case, it's not bad. Decent rhythms and samples, aside from a somewhat chintzy funk sound. Overall, competent but not exceptional.

Although this IS an Amiga MOD, it is NOT the killer soundtrack to the Spaceballs "Start of The Art" demo. Instead, this one features decent rhythms but is held back by dreadful-sounding keyboards and is generally just uninspired.

This is presumably the same file as 95raver a few selections down. It's a driving techno tour-de-force, and IMO, quite superior to the same artist's '95 house-megamix. Classic Amiga stomper, but with moments of real beauty. It's a bit long perhaps, and there's a few cheap sounds, but overall a truly thrilling MOD. One of my faves.

True MOD godhead. MODhead? :D Sidewinder is a rarity, an American MOD composer on the Amiga. A lot of his MODs have great bits but, IMO, don't quite congeal -- Pulse8 is a good example of this, an almost-great MOD. But on Alacazabra Sidewinder knocks it outta the park. The combination of techno and jazz and the raw, hungry rhythm has blown me out of my chair since my first listen. Sidewinder keeps building and building the power, then letting go, then building again. Despite the length of 8 minutes, it never lets you go. Without question, one of the greatest MODs I've ever heard.

Extremely potent guitar mod from Otis. Really a very rare type of MOD, especially from the Amiga side. Guitar samples have a nice distorted sound and are not weak. This one really blazes. Big thumping bass drum and later in the track, nice keyboards. Otis does a great job of keeping the momentum in this section. This one has also been very popular with friends after I placed it on an Amiga MOD Explosion CD. Sounds great when you're driving, too. Really, one of my favorite MODs.
